So I’m trying to upgrade my skinning and I’m having some problems. I’m trying to get Chum so I can use it on the eel infested waters in Nazjatar and for some reason I can’t get any chum to drop. I’ve completed the What Will It Lure? quest but now no chum will drop. I have farmed for a minimum of 4 hours trying to get 1 single chum to drop and nothing. Anybody know why this is happening?
I get a lot - I end up deleting it. I can’t remember what I have gotten it from though but I think maybe follower chests and caches from emissary - rare kills?
I’ve tried farming multiple mobs listed with it as a drop and none have dropped it for me. I’ve literally farmed for it now for over 8 hours without a single drop. I’m wondering if I need to report this to someone
I just do the world quests there and am always getting them. You are only eligible for loot from rares once a day so it is pointless to keep on farming them.
You did training for skinning in that area right?
Yeah i did train for skinning. I guess I need to progress the story a bit more or something.
I always just opened up the world quests, then shortly after I got a quest for the skinning with chum.
Since you got the Chum training item, you should be able to get normal Chum. Just keep killing stuff and you’ll get it. Maybe check your bank to see if you didn’t stash one in there.
Also, check by the area where he spawns. If someone is killing the rare version, you can also help kill it for a chance at the recipe.
I finally was able to get it. I had to complete more quests in Nazj until it opened up the world quests before it would drop off the rares. Weird I think but meh.
