More professions, you can do all of them at once, more accessible skill grind, Significantly more crafting. RuneScape… in WoW.
I dont think this is a good idea.
Yeah, you’re probably right!
Sounds like New World to me
The current systems doesn’t feel very fluid to me…
I play on and off but it reminds me a lot of like a next gen RuneScape
The current prof system seems very good to me. What part are you having issues with?
Really it’s just gathering resources. My professions are engineering and jewel-crafting. It’d be nice if I could just grind resources directly. By like mining and stuff.
Do you mean like the mining profession The one that leta you mine?
Could just have an alt for that kind of thing, or even make your alt the one with the crafting professions while you gather all day on your main.
Yeah but I can’t mine without giving up one of the others.
The idea behind the system is to keep the market competitive and have people depending on other players for things. Limiting each character to two “primary” professions means you can’t just do everything with perfect self-sufficiency, which is good for the economy.
If everybody could mine, or everybody could herb, ore and herbs would be near-worthless on the AH. We learned that lesson from Warlords of Draenor when the garrison gave everybody some free ore and herbs on a daily reset.
You could buy materials from someone else.
Expensive!
And yet that’s not the case with all the MMOs that let you learn all the professions.
It has historically been the case in WoW.
Probably because leveling skills is so incredibly fast and for any crafting profession you can buy max level in 10 minutes…
How is that possible when you’ve never been able to learn all the skills in wow?
There have been systems that provided general mats to all players pretty easily.
I’m all for it cause they flat ruined professions in dragonflight from previous expansions were they did a total flipflop and just made em annoying now and way less fun. The fun detected meme exists for a reason.
