i think a lot would argue specs that are doing bad are skillful for literally no reason
if a turbo is 2700 cr right now it doesnt make them ‘iNsAnE SkILL’ just cause enhance isn’t good in this meta

a high jungle isnt CRAZY SICKKKKK INSANE SKILLLLL just cause ferals dont do any damage excluding a 60k bite occasionally and hunters do bad in this meta

there’s only anti skillful atm and it’s rogue/mage/paladin some destrocomps or dh/dk and thats just because players like blindweebs dh a career rival can be 2700 cr right now (hasnt qd since opulence nerf LMAO)
or every single rmpala between 2k and 2500cr has either literally just bought the game for the first time in the last month or has struggled immensely to break 1800 prior to last season due to rmpala
examples like jeannexyz or literally 80% of the qs between 2k and 2500 literally without exception

People tend to undervalue the ability their opponents demonstrate while overvaluing their own.
There aren’t a lot of flashy skillful plays you can make compared to stuff like vanishing/reflecting death coils back in the days, but skill still matters. Otherwise you wouldn’t have geared people stuck at 1500 and undergeared alts at 2k+.
Even though most of the classes are extremely dulled down I still think there are a few classes that require a little bit more skill than most classes. For example sub rogue takes a lot of skill in rogue mage 2s. Arcane mage doesn’t take a lot of skill rotationally wise, but you really have to be good at fake casting bc one kick into a stun means gg.
Yeah nothing is skillful really anymore. Not after the legion class/spec butchering (and a few of the WoD redesigns too)

Players who think they are excellent players that have possibly gotten 2k+ in the past… (which i would bet a lot of money 75% of these people got carried). They can no longer be carried this season.
These are the same players that think just because they set up a cc chain that the win should be given to them.
They are so angry AND NARCISSISTIC about their ratings, there’s no POSSIBLE WAY they deserve a low rating at the present time. The only possibility it could be is that no classes have or take skill. Career rivals at 1800 rating can be 2.7k right now apparently, and then 2k+ players are stuck at rival cus… no skill. <-- sarcasm
Naw dude, you’re way off.
Realistically this season is just pretty slow paced and boring, broken defensive PvE gear makes more differences in arena than actual play (for example just getting PvE gear will increase your rating more than improving your play a good bit)
But for the OP the only things skilled are what you play, respectable comps are what you counter and brainless is what counters you.

Sub Frost Disc is the pinnacle of skill since burning crusade (except in wod saving grace ruined disc skill)
Once you learn the script it’s actually really easy. My mage quit so I’m talking out my butt but yeah. It’s obviously more effort intensive than healer dps. But there’s a rinse and repeat to it that becomes clockwork.
Yes it is just a rinse and repeat of setups to slowly get cds then go for the kill, but it is still one of the more interactive 2s comps. Double dps in general is a lot more interesting than dps/healer
