It’d be interesting when they add a solo
Queue to see who is actually the best
At their class out of everyone
We already kinda know that
im in LFG while watching this
“pst cus I might be tabbed watching solo queue”
i have 2 screens lol
At this point add it so I can watch people have absolute meltdowns about tanking because of dog tier partners and not having fun because of lack of coordination to setup kills.
Eh solo que isn’t the Savior they make it out to be. They touch on a few of the issues in wow pvp without really giving it enough credence.
- Barrier to entry. Solo que does absolutely nothing for this. I liked swoops and his other videos but in this video he’s claiming tons of people would flock to wow with solo que. That’s simply not true. I don’t play retail anymore 100% only because of barrier to entry. I play rocket and league with a buddy. As soon as he’s not on? Hell if I’m queing solo in solo que lol… Playing with friends is what makes any game fun. Solo que doesn’t do that.
Ilvl disparity, farming torghast or crap just to be competitive is lame. In wod/mop I played every class for the entire expansion. Legion-sl I could barely be bothered to log on.

People think wow is toxic. I encourage you to try league or rocket. Even with all their anti toxic protection it still makes me giggle anytime anybody calls wow toxic.
-
“People are doing laps in oribos” “simply can’t play”. Do you know what dps que times will be for high level games? You’ll be doing hella laps in oribos. Only difference is you’ll be doing laps and then getting toxic af games. Now you do laps waiting for people to log on but at least when they do you’ll have some fun.
-
It would 100% spread the already thin PvP population out (and no this population is not trippling in size as soon as solo que goes live).
Tldr: solo que fixes a few things (boosters and such) but causes as many issues as it fixes and doesn’t actually address the actual issues with wow pvp (ie barriers to entry).
Kind of. This actually allows unknown players who are actually really good to rise up. Since the established players already have set teams they’ve played with for years. The “best” player in wow isn’t someone on twitch.
Yes it does. I’m glad on my hunter and I just lvl’ed my alt shadow priest. I want to spam queues to practice, farm conq, and rating. I want to play with different specs to see which one works and which one I like most. I can’t do that using LFG without wasting a ton of time and going bored.
IMO the main toxic thing in WoW is players not giving other players a chance to join their group and play. Have you tried signing up for rbgs?
So you’re saying every group that gets made through LFG is fun matches, but with solo queue it’ll suck? I spent hours on my hunter sitting in LFG trying to climb rating, only to literally be kicked out after 1-2 matches. I actually deleted the game after one of those bad experiences. How is solo queue going to be worse than that?
If solo queue and LFG systems co-exist, it’ll be a matter of time/data to know which one players like more and where to take it from there. PvP population is already bleeding due to the inability to play and improve in the game and get good rewards.
I don’t have any rl friends playing WoW, does this mean I should have a terrible experience in the game?
Not really. You still have to grind out a gear set, your anima, your torghast. Those are the actual barriers.
Naw don’t really care for rbgs. I also haven’t really had any issues with people abandoning after one game. Seriously go play some other games. Wow is the farthest thing from toxic lol.
You clearly misread what I said. I don’t think lfg is amazing. The point is to find some people you click with and play. I’ve done this with lfg and with guilds. I only play with friends and I have a blast. If someone is toxic in lfg, look at that I can go find someone else.
No. This means you should make an effort and play with some people you like. It’s the only way I play any game, including those with solo que.
Or they both die. Go check out swtors solo que for an example lol…
The only world I’m really okay with solo que is if they’re not seperate. If teams que into the same bracket then the population stays healthy. It gives you a chance to meet people without having to put the effort in.
Anyways. As I said. I do get some of their issues. Solo que does address some things. For me though it creates as many problems as it solves and it’s not bringing me back to the game. What brings me back to the game is being able to fire it up whenever I have time and play some games while already being 100% on equal footing (aka league, rocket, Dota, wz). I’m not playing any of those games without my friends.
Yup there will be a lot of raging I’m sure. But you completely missed the point why people want solo queue.
It is an MMO after all. Sure there are more chores in SL than back in MoP for starting to play end-game content. I have one and half day played time on my SP (boosted to 50) and I already have 182 ilvl which isn’t as bad as fresh 60 with 150ilvl.
But now the real problem comes for me, farming conq points. I made some friends but they’re east coast time so by the time I finish work, I have 1-2 hours max to play with them. So I end up in LFG because I want to play more. Do I really need to LFG when I’m 1200?
I don’t disagree. MOBA and most other games are far more toxic. I was simply mentioning what I find to be toxic in WoW when it comes to end-game content.
Why do you think Solo Q wouldn’t be a place to find people to play with? I met the first few players I got 1800 with in SL through skirmish. That’s far more reliable and non-toxic way to make teams because I already did a few matches with them and liked their play. With LFG, players have to prove to other players that they’re good and it’ll work out. Linking achiev, versa, exp, MMR, ilvl. All are hacks to a problem that hasn’t been addressed in the last 6+ years of WoW.
I find people that I like when I’m actually playing with them. Be it questing, Torghast, or PvP. Rated PvP is not everyone’s cup of tea, and the only reliable way to find them is by not playing the game and instead setting in LFG. That’s why I can’t always find people that I like to play with.
WoW is not SWOTR. WoW is the best MMO out there and has been for the last 17 years. TBC didn’t have LFG system and it worked. When they added LFG, that was already risk to shifting the game in a very different direction and changing the social dynamics. Same as when they created server phasing and flyings mounts. All were ideas and systems that risked how WoW as MMO would change to be.
You don’t know that, simply because the system doesn’t exist yet. No one flushed out all of the details of how Solo Q would work. Because the devil is in the details.
lack of class tuning still makes a sucky game suck
Someday in the way way future I hope you bang my future daughter, you seem like an alpha male
Yeah and ur mog is bad so I can’t take you serious I’m sorry
Admitting you’re wrong is the first step, good work. You can go back to patting yourself on the back in every post now.
Solo q is a way to at least get to play the game and attempt to climb w/o wasting hours on lfg.
Lil salty today aren’t we
Your name is very fitting indeed.
