Skill Bloat is back. Yay?

Mind you, I’m just not going to use spells I don’t like. But if Blizzard wants us to use all of these skills. They need to improve the macro system, because I’m not going to bother using shadow skills when I’m holy, because I got to much stuff already.

Not really, most ‘optimal’ stuff doesn’t add that much. It’s really just boiling down to RPers getting the most benefit outta this. The rest of the ‘bloat’, at least 90% is just not worth it to use.

The ‘illusion’ of class over spec.

Too much stuff as holy? I main holy priest we have 3 attacks not counting chastise, is using SW:P now while moving instead of Holy Fire that huge of a skill leap?

I agree with you but you’re going to get flamed by the crowd that thinks having 500 different abilities makes the game somehow more fun.

Just because you don’t feel you have a use for them does not make them useful. Having a school you can still cast during spell lock (or tricking someone into a kick) is a good thing.

500 abilities? Please, list them!

I also agree with them

And agree with you

Some of the abilities coming back were good some of them are just find getting clicked

A few classes got some serious bloat though

I know the feeling. My monk now has 2 bars full of abilities now that I have to be able to use.

I mean it was a lot before, but 20 buttons is a lot to manage.

Make sure to read up on a guide before Shadowlands. Just because you have skills back does not mean they are intended to be rotational.

Dude. Holy has a zillion abilities. Finding somewhere to put those abilities and a key to bind them to is a pain.

Not impossible, clearly, but a pain.

Edit: just to be clear I don’t think there is an ability bloat. I think we are actually at a pretty good balance right now, including holy.

DH skill bloat is like 4 buttons instead of 2. Good times.

It feels like they said “Oh you want your previous abilities back? Fine, we’ll teach you that we were right all along by giving you back mostly useless abilities that nobody asked for”.

There are a few exceptions like the return of rogue poisons, but for the most part this feels like a ticked off dev gave us the proverbial middle finger.

I feel like it worked out really well for shaman lol.

No middle finger, Blizz tends to swing either to the extreme of one side or the other. They gave players a lot in alpha/beta and players were free to say what they liked and so on.

especially remembering what bind does what when you play a dozen different characters. I have 4 bars set up. 1 through 0, and the - = keys, and then shift+, cntl+ and alt+ for all of them. and on some characters its still hard to organize everything in a way that makes sense.

I am happy with flametongue weapon, lightning shield, and healing stream totem on my ele.

Getting shocks back as enhance over the weapon abilities is great. And WINDFURY TOTEM!

For people who are having “too many binds” issues: I would highly recommend getting a gaming mouse. It will take a bit to get used to, but pretty soon you will wonder why it took you this long.

Also keep in mind that we get 2 extra skills when we level to 60. One of them my husband is hyped for because i get to give him haste.

Oh and shadow word death now, got to toss that out on mobs low life. Look, I understand, but holy kit is already pretty darn big. With all this, I’m just like blah

I might as well remove touch of death from my bar. Near useless in PvE and PvP the execute activates at roughly 5% of a players health which a normal attack would do just the same.
