Really? I feel like the shoulder armor is just gigantic on every race. There’s a few pieces that aren’t insanely huge, but they’re more the exception than the rule. I figure it’s just Blizzard’s art style by now.
I grudgingly play male Tauren, but Draenai…wont touch the males.
Orcs dont bother me as much for some reason.
My problem is the mogs look stupid half the time…which is why Im playing mostly female pandas.
I have yet to find a single mog set that doesnt look good or great on a female panda.
I’d post on this character but the website is messed up and I can’t change characters. But I like the size of these shoulders. And so do you, even if you won’t admit it.
The fact that two threads entitled “mature lover” and “size matter” are floating around together on the forum today is…unnerving to me.
At any rate, Blizzard has always had a thing for gigantic shoulder-pads. It’s a holdover from when the shoulders and helm were the only 3D assets. So they had to make them standout.
Shoulders and helms were designed large and absurd originally because they were the first pieces you would see on a player, and you could tell what content they had achieved. It was just a glaringly obvious billboard telling you “this warrior charging at you has done AQ40, run”.
They’re still left big because it’s a minimal thing for them to bother changing, and it’s kind of part of the Warcraft art style now.
Tauren are supposed to be bigger.
Also, if you look at the build of something like an Ox, Bison, Buffalo or just a big ol’ Bull, the shoulders make a bit more sense.
That being said, I would love for ARMOR to not always be big and massive (and floating 5 ft off my shoulders)
My shoulder armor is extreme and I dig it!!! Male orcs and tauren men have very broad shoulders, so naturally, the huge, attractive pauldrons come with it.
