in ghost form for 20 minutes watching literally raids of horde phase in and out. Why is the war mode bonus not literally 100%.
Probably because you can turn it off…
We really need a section in the forums called “Alliance complaining about war mode”
You know why I complain about war mode? Because I can’t turn the damn thing on at level 19

I’m Horde and I never quest in Warmode, even if it’s said that we heavily outnumber the Alliance. I’d rather just not have to deal with getting randomly ganked or zerged while trying to complete world quests in Naz. I mean they’re already super annoying to finish, I really don’t need someone trying to kill me when I finally find a piece of Sticky seaweed.
Just turn it off, it makes life much easier. Instead of the horde or alliance fighting you, they HELP you. lol

What we need is Blizzard to address the fact that Warmode is totally lopsided outside of RP realms.
They either need to double down on bonus underdog rewards and add in some kind of participation check like the bonus not kicking in until you get x honorable kills that day, or they need to acknowledge that the problem won’t fix itself and add in a queue to activate Warmode, forcing an overall balance at the cost of (mostly Horde) queue times.
I’m in favor of the latter mostly because I hate the concept of bribing people to PvP – I chose a PvE realm a decade ago and even without the underdog bonuses Warmode has made PvE players effectively 2nd class citizens by rewarding players for toggling PvP on.
But I’m also aware that it’s all too easy to favor the idea of a queue when it’s not my faction that would be negatively impacted by it most of the time.
Maybe that could ALSO be a good thing though. Maybe it’d get more players interested in that form of content to transfer back to Alliance and even things out more quickly.
I think Sunadice has the right idea. All Alliance players should stop complaining and turn off War Mode. Except for Jerry, that poor fellow who refuses to turn off War Mode despite the odds being overwhelmingly against him. He will have to be bullied constantly by the masses of Horde every single day with no recourse. Poor Jerry.

Because it’s not WARMODE… it’s SHARDING.
I’m sitting here, and there are ~30 Horde in the Shard I’m in, and probalbly 25-30 Alliance. There is a CONSTANT back-and-forth going on, everyone is generally having a good time. It’s a really, Really, REALLY rare example of “working as intended.”
But the issue isn’t Horde or Alliance-- it’s SHARDING.

Funny thing is even in wm off there is more horde than alliance.This population problem will not be resolved,ever.I just wish blizzard would remove all war mode bonuses.They are not needed and create pve imbalance as well,giving side that already got larger player pool an additional edge.

I think Alliance’s racials are really, really good. In fact I’d trade my racials for human racials right now if you want.
If it was such a problem that Alliance players were getting a small gear handout, why is it that the HUGE majority of actual raiding guilds swarm to the Horde in droves? I don’t buy it. If the gear was such an issue then all of the guilds would be coming back to Alliance and we wouldn’t have this problem

It was more than just racial benefits.They did play significant role,but it is more than that. Horde just have larger pool of good players better community’s and overall better written storytelling.
I definitely agree with this. Horde is way more interesting in general. But the race options (appearance wise) are what made me fall in love with them.
But I really do like Night Elves.
