There are a lot of lovely places in WoW that I go to meditate at sometimes. Places where I can feel the ambience.
So, I’mma stick some places in here that I go to, and…give y’all a suggestion.
Grab a pillow - or anything comfy. Just…sit somewhere comfy.
Turn down the music, turn up the ambience, and zooooom in. And from there, just…focus on your breathing.
And from there, just…try to keep your mind on that. Just the breathing. Let everything slow and stop in your mind - because goodness knows we need a lil more quiet in our lives.
Places to go!
Entry Area into the wailing caverns
That chunk of the Maraudon you fight Theradras in.
Those caves in Thunder Bluff
The Cleft of Shadow
Anywhere in Feralas. Just pick a spot and sit down.
Most spots in winterspring. Try to find somewhere where things won’t aggro you.
Darkshore - on the shore. Listen to the waves and the rolling thunder - best when raining.
Western plaguelands - it’s really a nice place. There’s light birdsong and you can hear the pine trees creak.
The peak of ironforge Mountain. If you’re lucky it’ll start snowing and you can hear it skittering down the mountain. <3
The forlorn cavern. Sit next to a brazier when you’re there!
Anywhere in Blackrock spire, when you clear it out. It’s just a really calm place when there’s no orcs/dwarves/dragons in there.
Stone Cairn Lake. Beautiful.
Most places in Stranglethorn, except lake Nazferiti and Kurdzen’s Compound. And booty bay. Too noisy. Also grungy lookin.
Frostborn area - you wanna stand above the canyon and then sit on the edge over looking the valley in storm peaks.
What’s it called - the whispering canyon? YES.
Deepholm. Anywhere in deepholm. There’s this wonderful rumbling that goes on through it that shakes me to my bloody core. Love it.
Okay this is a wild one, but hellfire peninsula. It’s desolate and barren and damaged, but there’s something really beautiful about it. I like to fly up to one of the floating rocks and listen to the ground hiss.
Azuremyst Isle. It is the place that I enjoy over all else but I also like Winterspring, Nagrand, Storm Peaks, Tekeorar Forest, Hillsbrad (classic) Arathri, Mulgore, and the Jade Forest. There was another Pandira zone I liked but I don’t remember how to spell it, the mountain region.
That’s a lovely one - come to think of it the Exodar is one of my favorite cities to be in. Not my favorite to navigate, but when I’ve got time I love getting lost in it. That quiet tinkling when you’re around any of the lights makes me smile.
I do my best. And hey - it’s always something that’s within reach. You’ve just gotta stop and breathe sometimes. Focus on every little thing and just savor it, y’know?
I mean hey, I’m in the same boat. That’s why I do this kinda thing, irl and in WoW. I might not be able to share a moment with anyone, but I’m just letting myself really feel it.
Well this Dwarf doesn’t mind having new friends and chilling doing fun things. So if you want a fun, ale drinking, non-judgemental, friendly Dwarf pal feel free to add me.
