Not sarcasm. I wasn’t going to go to Siren Isle, but I heard a lot of chatter about WPvP and wanted to check it out. I went out yesterday and spent the day swapping between horde and alliance, both heal and dps, fighting alongside and against everyone I saw. From someone who exclusively does WPvP this is going to be what I am doing for the foreseeable future.
Now I am not advocating for this to be the new norm or say that anything should go away or be permanently added, but holy crap is this far and away the most fun I have had in WPvP since late BFA. The addition of the rocket booster adding aerial combat to the fray is SO fun.
If you haven’t gone yet because there’s nothing out there for you and you like WPvP, give it a go. Also, anecdotal, as horde I have gotten more war crates in the last 24 hours than I have this entire expac.

It’s really fun mechanically. But it has some serious flaws.
The biggest of which being a lack of any incentive for any PvPer or geared PvEer to ever go there, leading to most of the PvP being veritable bullying, which gets boring quickly.

I’m not talking about Siren Isles as a whole. I have ran probably 7-8 toons through the intro quests and the quest to pick up the rocket booster and that’s it. I can’t speak to ANY content there. What I am speaking of here is specifically the WPvP in a zone where you can’t fly but you have the rocket booster. This adds a dynamic of aerial combat that is just fun. Learning how to knock people out of the sky (yes, there ARE ways) and being able to actually chase people in WPvP where sometimes they just keep running. I haven’t had a single paladin or druid escape me here yet.
These are the things that are fun. WPvP lacks incentive. There’s very little gain to it, it’s just a game mode you either enjoy or you don’t. Honestly it’s the reason I made this post, because I would have never went there without seeing someone complain about the booster on the island. Hopefully this will raise awareness and get more people out there.
Edit to address:
FULLY agree, this is what it becomes in the main hub / arrival zone. I imagine in the next few days, potentially today who knows, Blizz will buff the town guards similar to how they did the Tanaris guards after the first few days. If they make the same change where they root you and add a stacking debuff that 100% negates the rocket booster but will absolutely lead to follower dungeon queueing away like Tanaris.
I cant imagine many of us that are into pvp are in the siren isles.

Right which is why I said:
Hope this helps you understand the point of my post better

Root alone negates the rocket booster, so if guards can root you’re screwed.
Sirens Isle is okay though. Good to see that the crates here actually take their time to fall instead of immediately being on the ground like the ones in TWW zones.

Hell yeah. I hope I encounter big fights tonight like those Quel’Danas days.
It’s sharded to hell so you won’t.
If they can create the siren isle, they can create a new EPIC RBG

Siren isle is the worst. Fly there and so many npcs and players in the starting area its impossible to get anything done. I deleted that ring
This is a place I’ll often hang out at if I’m just waiting for queues to pop. Nice change of scenery from the drab nature of most TWW zones.
Sometimes there’s random pvp there, sometimes it’s completely dead. I even met Vanguards there the other day. Thank god he’s Alliance, haha.
