So this year I’m working on getting the Hallow’s End achievements on my alt since I did not do them on that character last year. I did however do them on my main character and ended up getting the sinister squashling pet on him. With the new ICC patch rolling out, Mounts and companion pets are now shareable on all your characters.
Today I did the Headless horseman dungeon on my alt and received the Sinister Squashling pet from the loot pumpkin. However, it said that I had already collected this pet and was unable to right click it but when I checked the achievement to see if I collected it for “The Sinister Calling” it says that I do not have it even though I have the pet sitting in my bags.
This achievement is needed for the Hallow’s End meta achievement and for characters who are trying to get “The Hallowed” title but it is currently impossible to complete on Alt characters if your main character had already gotten the pet from Last year.

Yup bugged for me as well. Tried summoning from collections tab, have the pet in my bags as well, doesn’t count either way.

I got the pet and the helm on my hunter and got the achievement. it was the actual pet item, not the summonable one from collections
Yeah but then on any other toon you can get the pet, and can’t use it because it’s already in your collection, so you can’t get the achievement.

no, what I’m saying is the useable item was in my inventory when I got the achievement. I had not used it to actually acquire the pet yet
Yeah I have it sitting in my bags on an alt right now, both the helm and the pet. No achieve.

Release the one in your inventory and then use the one in your bag.

Same, on this alt, I have the helm part completed from last year, and I just looted the pet from the daily reward bag. I can’t use the one I just looted because I already ‘know’ it, and so can’t get the ach.

what do you mean with that? Is there already a solution?
Same issue here right now , just obtained the pet from a quest bag and cannot learn it…says (Collected 1/1) in red letters.
Hopefully just an oversight but quite annoying.
Doesn’t work like that. Your account has the pet in the collection, it’ll say 1/1.

you cant this is not retail, you cant release pets or cage them
blizzard needs to fix i dont play my old char anymore and main a mage/druid now want the achives on my alts want that hallowed titled, prob wont be fixed before event is over though which sucks

It would be nice to bump this thread high enough to get the attention it needs to be hotfixed. This is the only achievement preventing me from the Title. It was a blunder on Blizzard’s end, but they should hotfix this during the seasonal event.

I agree, only have 2 world event achievements left, Halloween and Christmas… And not being able to finish this one is definitely not going to be good.

Same issue here. Pet is already in my collection tab and I looted a new one, unable to learn it to get credit.
Sent a ticket in, got an automated response. Hopefully fixed soon.

Same here Blizz please adress this… my main that has worked over 11 months for the violet protodrake can’t complete the achiev as the pet was learned through an alt. Very upsetting. My ticket just got automated response but nothing you suggest helps… Hope for a timely fix…would be nice to know you guys are aware of this issue and working on it.

Same once you collected it on your main your alt has it in the collection tab for pet. The sinster squashling cant be learned because of this. Blizz pls help.

Responding again to get a blue response or some form of acknowledgment. The automated response system is nothing but disappointing. I responded to it and still have an open ticket, hoping to get an actual response from someone.
