I did a bunch of uldaman and have good overall damage because of strong aoe, but single target boss damage is more around tank levels
my talents are a bit more aoe focused, but the disintegrate talents don’t look that good; is it possible to have decent single target damage?
Yes, it is possible to have decent ST. For that to happen you have to spec into the right side of the tree. Evokers already do a lot of AoE damage with their base kit (Pyre, especially during DR windows, FB, ES)

This is what an all-around build looks like right now for pre-patch. Once we’re level 70 you start putting points towards Feed the Flames.
A few tips to maximize your ST:
-
Ensure you’re properly extending your dragonrage and spamming Disintegrate during ST.
-
Spec into Scintillate. This gives your Disintegrate more oomph in ST and honestly is required if you want to do decent ST. The free eternity surge that procs (and it can proc multiple times per channel) is also affected by your mastery. This means that the more disintegrates you push out during your dragonrage window the more damage you’ll be doing.
-
Use azure strike instead of living flame to generate essence burst procs during your DR window. It allows you to start channeling faster.
The only time you should be casting living flame in ST is when certain conditions are met:
- You’re outside of your DR window.
- You’re building back essence for disintegrate.
- Firebreath/Eternity Surge/Shattering Star are on CD.
- You don’t need to move. Obviously, you cast Azure Strike when you need to move but if you meet everything else up there you can cast Living Flame.

Thank you. I see you have 4 different Loudouts in your Profile. Which one do you recommend for Mythic+?
The first loadout is what I use for M+.
