Single server battle grounds?

They were a thing before patch 1.12, and I think they would of been more fun than cross realm battle grounds. Anyone else feel like this?

Some servers are already to dead to do it. You got .12.

15 minute queues alliance side before cross realm unless it was a BG weekend.

Grantid… there were 1/4 the players per server back then.

As much as I agree battlegrounds were way more fun before crossrealm, it’s not gonna happen for classic sadly.

A great idea to help with balance but I fear the growing pains will be too great and the opposite effect would prevail.

No, it just mean longer queues. I get people want to compete with and against their “friends” but why they feel that we all must suffer is beyond me.

Here is an idea, declare one of the numbered BGs the favorite for your server and post that information on the server forum so like minded people can follow suit and ONLY queue up for that numbered BG. Not perfect but it doesn’t ruin other people’s good time

I would love for their to be no cross realm, but it does smooth out the experience in a way that’s probably good for most. If you think 30 min queue is bad, 2 hour long ones in vanilla on my server were even more annoying to deal with. Once you played every team to death on your server match ducking was very common and many servers dealt with win trading.

All that being said, I would love to go up against the people from my server in Battlegrounds. Would be fun to have those wPvP rivalries hit the BGs.

Yes cross realm destroyed the PVP community in classic wow. And it’s a system that is festering with Bots and AFKers.

The only way large queue times would exist would be for

  1. Low pop servers
  2. faction imbalance.

But the thing is that the honor system actually doesnt make it more difficult to rank up in a long queue system (since it’s relative).

And server only BGs lessens faction imbalance.

The only people that would defense CRBGs are AFK botters.

The oceanic battlegroup only has 4 realms and it’s queues are terrible. Sub-60 bgs almost don’t exist. That’s with 4 realms. OP wants 1 realm. rofl

We definitely would not have 2 hour queues on Grob. Only servers that would suffer are Heartseeker and a handful of horde populated servers.
