Single player WoW

Would you play it? Completely isolated from other people. customize a party of NPCs to take with you.

Probably not, to be honest. I think if it were a single player game, and that’s what I was looking for, I’d probably end up going with other titles.

“friends”

must be nice.

Absolutely not.

Why play a single player version of WOW, when there are far better games and can go play Elden Ring, The witcher 3, dragon age origins, mass effect, black myth wukong, any of the souls games, mount and blade 2 and so many more that provide so much more than WOW does.

If it were done right, I would totally play it! I enjoy the combat and could imagine a good design philosophy centered around character customization. What I’m imagining, however, would be a far cry from modern retail WoW. And I definitely would not pay a sub for it.

I already played it. Aside from the occasional run with friends or a guild mate. Everything I do in this game is solo. every request, everything I craft, every profession, I level, every anniversary event minus the world bosses, it’s all a solo event for me because I don’t play with with anyone else. So in my world, every other character I interact with is just part of the game and I have a hard time sometimes remembering those are actual players.

it sucks because I used to be extremely social and I really loved meeting new people in the open world but now anytime I wave to someone or whisper to somebody. There’s either no response or they are just absolutely rude. I think I’ve interact with three nice people in the last eight months

Something like the campaign of durotar from WC3 but in first person I would probably play it. But if we’re speaking of the same type of game that wow is, no not really. What I like the most is raiding and group content in wow so without it I probably wouldn’t play.

You … technically… can do that already… lol make a new toon on a Low pop realm. I did that once. I did not see a single player except maybe ONCE … in a major city…

WoW does a good job now to let you play solo if you wish so really not much reason to make WoW into a single player game.
A single Warcraft player game akin to Skyrim etc could be fun.

Maybe Blizzard should simply delete low pop realms. Along with characters on it. No free transfers. Just really something to piss me off.

ITs already that now.

I agree . Just do that now in wow. Heck for several years now most of my time in wow was/is mostly solo.

It’s not for a sad reason or anything it’s by choice. I jump into some groups and sometimes I’ll chat it up in game , I’ll randomly jump in with folks if we are doing the same quest and that way we help each other. But mostly i do my own thing.

That’s pretty close to single player. I just don’t see the investment for blizzard going all in for a specific wow single player game.

It’d be too depressing to play, imo.

I tried to get back into classic (cata season now right) and … I saw a total of … three. THREEE… players in SW… and they were all max level and AFK. like… I’ll go back to retail and spam LFR. I’m okay with that. I prefer a group even if it’s moaning and complaining about the state of the game, than a ghost town…

My dream is to basically have a Skyrim set in the warcraft universe.

I’d find it hard to leave my house.

You can do that already by playing on Earthen Ring

That, I would 100% play.

After a while, it would feel like a chore. I feel you need that guild to make this game more fun and social.

Only the classic version. Non endgame retail is very bad and classic leveling is the only thing worth it if no groups
