Single player WoW is too easy sometimes

I just did the quest for rank 3 crucible of flame, and I think the difficulty of these scenarios is oftentimes such a missed opportunity to create a more fun and interesting experience. You get to the end of the scenario and fight a void dragon (with a sweet new model btw) for all of 10 seconds before it just flies away at 80% hp. Like gee I really needed the two most iconic dragon aspects to back me up on that one! The void dragon charged up a big frontal cone void breath of death and I just stood there and took 0 damage from it. BORING. Im not saying make this kind of stuff mage tower difficult but you should at least have to respect the abilities that are being thrown at you sometimes… I wish that void breath would have melted my face and id have to respawn and try again. Thats like the core principle of video games, you die, figure out why you died, then dont die the next time. It would have been super cool to grind my neck to 60 and get rewarded with a fun and interesting miniboss encounter somehow involving the power of the two coolest dragon aspects rather than just auto winning and getting my essence.

That questline is just the one example that inspired me to post but I feel like this same weakness is seen from mobs all across the world. Again, I dont think players should be getting owned by mobs left and right but if a mob winds up an ability and it does literally nothing, what is the point? As much as I dislike islands at least the packs of mobs have unique abilities that you actually do have to respect and react to or you will just die to them. The world could be so much more involving and interesting and more often than not it just isnt. IDK.
