Just a thought I had, would it possible for Blizzard to implement a single player pvp experience? Lots of toxicity when playing with others I did just some 2s and it was miserable. Instead of other players to fight there can be a program that scripts npcs to attack you back when you hit them, chase you if you retreat, etc. Could be interesting and maybe battlegrounds can be implemented if the idea takes off. Do any games do this? Any idea how single player battlegrounds would work?

Its not balanced at all around 1 v1 . A healer will easily win as they tickle you down , since they are designed to take a burst from 1 and half dps and you are just one dps …get wrecked 
There is a brawl vs bots and also the islands in BFA have bots to fight that act like players for a somewhat authentic pvp experience

Sure they could but they would be stupid to attach any kind of rating to it. They have a hard enough time balancing what they have, there is zero chance they could ever balance 1v1.
Maybe not arenas (too hard to balance), but I could see RBGs possibly getting a “solo-queue” option in the future.
I’ve been doing some casual/yolo RBGs this week and honestly most of the players in low brackets don’t play much better than the pug players you encounter in a random BG.
Such a system could work something like this:
- 0-1500 rating: “solo-queue” option available, just push a “Join Battle” button in the matchmaking tab and the automated matchmaking system does all the work to set it up (just like how a random BG works)
- above 1500 rating: the solo-queue button goes “grey” and can no longer be clicked, you would have to put together a premade group and queue up via LFG as usual
Seems like a win-win. Gets rated participation up, allows casual players to progress the RBG mount on their own time/by pushing just 1 button, and also allows casuals to get better gear than the crappy unranked gear.
Another bonus is people with old/dust-collecting Mage Tower alts from Legion can “finally” unlock the RBG artifact tint on those characters
If you replace the 1500 with 1400 then this isn’t a bad idea. Since you don’t lose rating up to that point and it also puts you right into the middle of the pack gear wise.

This already exists in game via island expeditions and the PVP brawl. Not really sure what else you would want out of it?
And PVPing via PVE is kind of odd. Do you not think so? By having the player fight bots it fundamentally becomes NOT PVP (player vs. player).

I don’t see the appeal of it myself. It’s part of the pvp brawl rotation but isn’t even pvp.

You might like comp stomp! It’s pretty much single-player pvp against bots even though there are 14 other people in your group.
it’s a great way for pvp baddies like me to get some honor to (very, very, very) slowly work on those honor levels I need for that pet
/cries at 400 honor levels.
Yes, that is what most use it for. Just a spammable honor farm.

Your single player pvp experience is BGs, Solo shuffles and all. Toxicity should be expected since a team gets the L. People want to win at all cost and blaming others/being toxic is a easy way to cope for some. Report and move on.
Definitely don’t want them to put development time into an ai mode tbh. Even in league it’s a complete faceroll stomp, it’s never exciting even when they cheat just like in doom bots. More pvp modes would be neat. (Guild wars (I have the clan wars minigame in rs in mind if any of you have played that), game mode where it’s just like league of legends but in WoW… That’s just two ideas but there’s possibility for so much more)

I agree. It would be great to have rated 1v1’s. It would help certain classes gear up faster.
