Kingdom of Amulur re-reckoning would be my vote, it’s bright, colorful and has (I think) the same cartoony graphics
Are you looking for an mmo or a single player game? Cause i have hundreds of single players i could recommend. Single player games are better than mmos. At least theres no other players.
It’s not offline but both gw1 and 2 can pretty much be played like a single player game. Tons of solo play and challenges in both those games that WoW very clearly lacks.
Totally different genre, but Valheim is surprisingly good at scratching the same itch that WoW does. Doesn’t have tab targeting or the character customization you’re looking for, but IMO that’s made up for by the game’s building systems. It’s pretty cool to build a fortress and to dot little outposts long the areas you explore.
look up RPGs there are thousands of them. neverwinter is an old one but still a good one
Dragon Age and Skyrim might be up your alley
Edit: Baldur’s Gate 3 is in early access still but I’ve been having a blast with it. Incredible game so far.
You could try Conan Exiles; there’s even a map mod someone built for it that duplicates a chunk of Kalimdor.
Truth be Told, Lost Arc and Warframe are the closest.
Warframe is the closest thing that feels like WoW, however once you’ve seen how hostile it is to newer players and how long it takes to fix some game breaking glitches, you’ll realize it’s not a Blizzard product.
Lost Arcs, there are options do the raids on solo, however with Amazon’s publishing, a majority of features became Pay to Win.
Closest I’ve seen that compares to the combat system in WoW is Dragon Age: Inquisition. Not completely offline because you have to connect to their server to play it. But you have your own party that’s AI controlled and the hotbar at the bottom is pretty much just like WoW.
Skyrim is your best shot with mods. There’s literally a mod for just about anything. The problem is it can be time consuming to download them all and make sure it’s stable but once you do it’s almost a fully customizable game.
A few years ago I had something like 1500 mods going at once and it was a mix of an rpg with dark souls like comabt. Loved it, but I just don’t have the time anymore to dedicate the time and keep up with mods.
Mods are addictive, once you see some good ones you’re always craving one more… Just to see how far and how many you can do.
Everyone saying Dragon Age is correct.
My vote is for Skyrim. I wont even comment on how many hours I have sunk into this amazing game.
That or play custom campaigns for WC3. Especially that involve the heroes.
Conan Exiles has everything that Valheim has and more.
Great game! And yes you can still get it as a new company has purchased the rights.
In fact, they just released a remastered version not too long ago.
It even has new content coming out!
Did not know. Thanks for the heads up!
Unless internet is something you won’t have in the future, I would suggest just sticking to WoW and playing it like a sp game because I can’t really think of a game like wow that’s purely sp.
When I lived up by a ski resort I didn’t have any internet and I just played a ton of RPG games. Do some research, look around. There are tons of games with hourrrrssss of content. It’s just all about finding something that you like.
I play by myself constantly, and do my own thing in WoW. I don’t even do raids or mythics, heck rarely even dungeons. Just havent been in the mood.
I like being online though with people around me. I’m quiet but I like being in a crowd. I’m like that irl as well.
You might enjoy dragon age origins and inquisition. I’m on inquisiton and its been a blast!
If memory serves, it has quite a few… umm… extra sliders for character customization.
Valheim has more realistic building and more mods I feel. It has been awhile since I played CE, so maybe it has changed.
Yes, Conan has “those” sliders for some “detailed” character customization. And you start out “naked and afraid” in the zones (fighting aligators naked does not sound like a fun time).
