This came up in an unrelated thread and it got me curious. How many of you out there use dual monitors versus a single monitor? If you use dual monitors, why? Do you use them to multi-box? Do you use them to watch movies/work/etc while you camp or play the AH in the other window? What kind of set-up do you prefer?
Me, I’m pretty simple. I play on a gaming laptop and it generally works well for me, but now I’m curious about the benefits of a dual monitor set-up. How do you play?
Single monitor here. I don’t see the need for a second.
Single 34" 3440x1440 Samsung screen.
I did used to link up to my big TV at one point and that was pretty fun. I should start doing that again.
I first had dual monitors for work. Now it’s like, “Why did I ever go without two? This is so nice!” For WoW, one monitor is fullscreen windowed, and the other is open to the internet, or YouTube, or streaming, or whatever. Try it once and you’ll never go back to single monitor.
That’s what a few people have said. “Once you go dual, you won’t go back.” I’m already pretty ADD though so I’m afraid.
Multiple monitors. Main reason? Because I can. My desk holds three 27" monitors. I should not let it down.
I can work on one, monitor home security on a second, watch television or movies on a third, etc… Though most of the time, I have work on my main monitor and work on my other two monitors.
Double, wow on one screen and work on another.
I used to have dual monitors but i lost one in Hurricane Harvey. Im desperate for another monitor but since we just purchased our first home, all of our extra cash goes right back into the house.
Side note: i mostly use the dual monitors for work ( I work from home). While playing, I tend to just use one monitor unless i need to google stuff n thangs.
So you want TWO monitors for my cats to lay in front of?
Are they big cats? Maybe they need two like seats on an airplane.
Wow, more than two! I’d never be able to focus on anything. 
Cats deserve to have three monitors to lay in front of. Shame on you for not giving them that opportunity! Im calling CPS (cats protective services)!
My dog is big enough that she likes to lay her face on my keyboard when I’m not giving her enough attention.
My cat will jump up on my chest and make me lean back away from the monitors. "Pet me now, or suffer the consequences. "
I use this too. Perfect size
I use 3 27inch monitors. 1 is for wow 1 is for youtube/netflix and another for information like wowhead.
I’m pretty sure my primitive brain would explode with that much sensory input (especially combined with work constantly calling me and a giant dog demanding attention). After a couple hours, I’d probably be crying in the corner.
I use 3 monitors at home but I only use 1 for gaming. Mostly have the 3 set up for doing work from home if I have to.
Double and I will never go back to a single.
I have wow on one screen and chrome and discord on the other.
It just makes everything so so much better. Idk where to even start
