I’ll start this off by saying I haven’t played Warrior in awhile. I used my 70 boost from the expansion on a Warrior and have been gearing an 80 Fury Warrior the last few days. In that time, I have received three 1H weapons, the most recent of which came from my first time doing a Bountiful Delve and using a Coffer Key. At first I was so thrilled to get an Adventurer level Weapon from the Coffer only to immediately turn to extreme disappointment when I realized it was actually, (AGAIN), a 1H weapon which I will not use.
I have yet to loot a 2H weapon from a natural drop source, the ones I am using now are 558 I purchased from the AH.
It feels like 1H is a priority for Fury Loot Spec and I don’t even have SMF taken as a talent and never have.
I fully and completely understand that people will jump in here and say “Just switch loot spec to Arms problem solved ez stop crying” but the idea that we have to switch our Primary Loot spec because of one talent option is just plain silly.
It is seriously ruining my experience and I feel like I just wasted so much time on that Delve and have nothing to show for it.
I’ll switch to Arms loot spec moving forward to avoid this, but I really hope that Blizzard reviews the data on how many people are taking SMF and decides to remove it, OR, perhaps implement a fix where if you don’t have SMF selected then Fury loot spec will not provide you with 1H weapons.
make it baseline or make it a transmog but also changing your loot spec is like what, 2 clicks to change? you’re like the guy in the comic riding his bike and then puts a stick in the spokes of it and goes flying off it
My entire point is that as a returning player after some time I had absolutely no idea I needed to change loot spec to avoid this. That is what makes it an unpleasant experience. I am literally never going to use a 1H weapon so the time I invested into that delve is wasted and that is a core problem.
I mean, now that isn’t true at all. Last time Warriors didn’t use Titans grip was back in Burning Crusade. Wrath and up, so what…8 expansions? 8 expansions had passed where Titan’s grip is the real fury warrior spec. That is vastly more than vanilla and burning crusade.
Titan grip wasn’t a mistake at all, it is the best part of being a fury warrior. The whole thought behind the player character warrior is that they are stronger than normal warriors. Faster, tougher, stronger, and more durable than normal warriors. It is in the name of the talent, TITAN grip. You are tapping into old power to lift those 2handers with one hand.
Ya just make it a transmog option for fury with a glyph and be done with it. Im prob going to have a smf build for mt fury just cause rhe mogs will.look better on my earthen
It is true. Single minded Fury is the original and REAL Fury warrior. Titan-grip was a mistake and this mistake has gone on for too long. Get rid of the mistake that is Titan-grip because it will never EVER be the real Fury warrior. I thought I made that clear.
I mean, time wised, the real fury warriors now are the one with titan grip and how it brought more players to warriors because of how DOPE it is, Titan Grip is the REAL FURY WARRIOR.
I am not sure if you were trolling but I completely agree. I hate Titan grip and find it ridiculous. But what I hate more is bad damage or arm spec so sadly I have to stick with this braindead titan grip
Doesn’t matter wich one is the real fury, with the new craft system being the new standard

make 2h a transmog option and tune our damage to 1h
Honestly, I like SMF - sure my damage is slightly lower, but I have higher mobility (meaning more uptime - offsetting the raw damage difference) and my vision of warrior isn’t the brute that some other people have. SMF gives me that option.
If anything, I’d swap things. SMF is the baseline, but Titan’s Grip is what you spec into. (And I’d move to all warrior tree, not the fury tree. Give prot warriors the option to use polearms with shields!)
Make your loot spec arms and you stop getting one handed weapons. With that said I would prefer the opposite. Make fury a one handed spec and balanced around one handed weapons/speed. Allow us to transmog to two handed weapons to keep the theme.
