Would you rather have the single handed fury option back? or just be able to Mog your two handers down to one handers?
Id perfer the option for onehander use… but the mog would be fine too.
Thoughts?

SMF is never coming back, for a miltitude of reasons, so being able to t-mog into one handers is the closest you are ever going to get. And while they have been relaxing the t-mog restrictions, I wouldn’t hold your breath.

I personally would love this. While I get that SMF the playstyle is not coming back, easing the transmog restrictions would be a great solution for people are looking for this appearance. I absolutely loved the look and feel for a dual wielding berzerker, and the 2h version of it just feels… off. It makes the weapons feel like they have no weight due to the 1h animations still being used. One can argue the fantasy is we have such titanic strength to wield them as such, but that kinda breaks the fantasy for me. If we were that much stronger than our Arms brethren or DKs and whatnot, we’d be worth 3 dps slots in a fight. Maybe I’d feel better about it if DW 2h had custom animations all around to give the weapons appearance of heft on each attack, but I highly doubt that’s gonna happen.
Whats even better is if you look at the spell casting animations for Fury warrior, many of the animations in use are race based 1h animations, with the remainder being weapon agnostic Fury based animations.
I am no programmer, but it seems like one would just have to enable the transmogging of 1h weapons for Fury specifically, and be done with it. No new animations needed, just a couple of toggles?

Single handed fury was never as good as titans grip. I would prefer to just mog 1handers tbh
The ability to Mog seems like the path of least resistance, I have a ton of cool 1handers that I would be able to use in fury. I agree DW two handers can seem odd.

Option for 1h AND mog option.
Currently only 1 dps spec using 1 handed str weapons, and that’s a shame!

Fury is in a unique place where it should easily be doable since 2Hs just act as really big 1Hs. Other classes that lost choice (enhance and Frost DK) are not as fortunate. The tech is clearly not there as I have tested what happens if a druid puts a staff on and mog artifact dagger/claws and its just slow main hand attacks.
The prevailing theory (I have at least) is that Blizzard intends to maintain defining melee specs by their weapon choice rather than give them flexibility, even if it’s cosmetic via transmog as the broad transmog logic is if you can’t use it you can’t transmog to it. And while fury obviously can use 1Hs the support for competitive DPS isn’t there.

For the most part all weapons are just stat sticks at this point.
Since they no longer have a function with actual scaling (it’s all math) the only thing that matters is weapon DPS and the attached primary/secondary stats.
I would love to see SMF come back, though. Particularly cause of that attack speed axe in TEP mixed with Focusing Iris for massive haste passives. I want to make monks question if Warriors gained Fist of Fury. I want to be a tiny ankle blender again.

If the benchmark is SMF days or pre-TG era, then you’ve already done it. If you went back to fury’s speed from when it used one handers, you would be slower. We’re arguably the fastest spec in the game, our weapons are just big. GCDs are much faster and attack speed is similar to if not faster than it was with one handers. If you feel slow as fury it’s in your head.
That’s part of it, I think a lot of the request just has to do with wanting to use, or the perceived use of one hands. I just feel silly having to dw two handers, aesthetically, one handers would be great.
Partly because arms is not valid for reasons in raids.

Personally i would be happy with a remova of titans grip and a return to the weapon itemisation from before TG
A removal of the weapon restrictions from our abilities would also be great, TG would still be best but at least we could use random weapons that we pick up while leveling.
The aesthetic aspect is a valid argument and makes sense, even if I personally prefer the two handers. People like what they like.
What isn’t valid, and really needs to stop, is people arguing for us to be able to use actual one handers again. They say they want to be fast like they used to be but this is literally something they are inventing in their heads. They’re faster now than they ever were.

Mog it… Its the only realistic option that can be done relatively quickly. 2x 2handed weapons is just overboard… I am constantly avoiding really cool mogs because 2x of most 2handers is just too much to look at. Even my Tauren would be brought down by those things… just be laying on his back all day trying to get up…

Totally realize this is small potatoes compared to other things, but I think this would be an easy win for Blizz. Low hanging fruit and all that.
