Single-Button Assistance

I’ll start by apologizing, as I’m sure you’ve all gotten a million of these posts… But as a returning player, I’m just generally curious what the communities feelings are for this feature? I’ve personally enjoyed it. It makes the game more relaxing

Most people seem to either be enjoying it or neutral if not using it.

A handful of the same few players on the forums rail against it at every chance, but they’re in the minority.

how do you feel about it?

I do not accept this disingenuous apology. Enjoy the thrill of rehash. :frowning:

I like it on some classes that suffer button bloat. On others I don’t really use it. I’ve also read several posts here and elsewhere about players with physical limitations really happy about it because they can play again.

Overall I think it’s a positive addition.

Havent tried it as yet, wont use it for my main at all but i wil 100% use it and enjoy the idea for alts that only do the most basic of content.

I also like the idea that it might benefit lesser skilled players to engage more in group content - LFR/low end m+

Don’t like it personally.

Though, quite indifferent about it’s existence.

If it helps some people, stab at it!

some classes are slightly gimped by using it. I do more damage as an arms warrior by NOT using it.

it is a useful feature to utilize. but remember to combine it with other cooldowns, like defensives, 15m cooldowns from trinkets, etc.

it just incorporates the basic dps abilities in there, up to about 30 sec cooldown spells/abilities

I’ve been very thankful for it. Not only has it helped me improve the rotation on my druid and my mage, but it also allowed me to play five other classes that I normally wouldn’t because I was unfamiliar with having to learn the rotation and figure out how to at least get decent DPS. I only do solo content so I’m putting out decent numbers just to get myself through whatever the situation is, but it did allow me to set up my rotations and start using the highlight option and then remove the OBR from my bars. So now I can simply follow the highlight and not have the penalty, but had it not been for the OBR there are still some classes. I never would’ve even tried.

wasn’t there some aff warlock guy posting about using the single-button feature to get to Elite in Rated BG Blitz?

I am really not a fan of it if people can cheese the system for massive rewards.
I hope they get rid of it. Super toxic feature and bad for the health of the game.

a warlock got elite rank in rated BG?

are you serious?

I don’t think it’s possible to cheese the system using only the one-button assist.

There’s not a reason to be against it, it can make worse players better. It can be convenient for those who don’t want to spend a ton of time perfecting rotations. I mean it should help people to complain less - but let’s be real, that’s probably not going to happen.

its way too good but hey
you wanted wow to be an rpg again you got it

I dont care about it, dont need it wont use it. Ppl who need it i’m happy for.

I don’t really care. I like it for questing, but I’d never use it outside of that. such as I have my own rotation that I like to use for certain content.

I think the one button rotation is great if you have a disability and just need that extra assistance.

I don’t think we should shame people for using it. But rather the people who refuse to learn their class and are purposely being lazy with the game. It’s great for new players though.

Anyone arguing against the 1 button rotation is worried about the long term effects.

Like it will give blizzard an excuse to never make classes or rotations accessible.

Or its a boring way to play the game thats bad for the long term health of the game.

yup, as Affliction. Can’t recall if it was on these forums or on Reddit (they had screenshots to prove it). But they just knew where to go and the single button assist did the rest.
Maybe Aff is one of those specs you can get away with doing this since you’re just waiting for DoT damage. But yea, I’m just not a fan of this feature at all if people can cheat the game with it. It needs to be nerfed a lot more. Make it much slower or something.

that’s interesting, ty

Bad for the game, bandaid fix because classes aren’t intuitive enough

It’s also too powerful because it does more dps than the majority of players meaning the best way to play a class for most people is not to play it at all which is bizarre
