Since It's Sunday

50 states, I’ve been to maybe 9. Ignoring trump’s existence, I still would like to visit places like hawaii, California, Kentucky, and really just the rest I haven’t seen yet.

Illinois, Montana, Vegas, Texas, Idaho, Hampshire, Utah, Massachusetts. All fun places I’d visit again?

Are ohio milkshakes and food worth the visit? Anywhere else local folks (not just ohio) would recommend in terms of town, city or state? Genuine tourist inquiry. I assume the diatribe between trump and canada will resolve eventually. Really not interested in fostering it. Just, interesting locations to visit.

It might be seasonal or regional.

The McDonalds near me sometimes sell Strawberry pies along with the Apple pies. But that is an off and on sort of thing. Some do and some don’t , and then one that did does not, while one that did not now does….

McD’s hasn’t had strawberry shakes in forever, I can’t even remember when they did it was so long ago.

Edit: incorrect

Must be regional, I just checked the app and they are on there.

I’m lucky enough to have a local joint that makes out of this world burgers and shakes. I wouldn’t touch a McD’s shake even if it was free. And them’s fightin’ words.

Actually I just checked my local joint and they do have strawberry.

No, I wouldn’t visit Ohio for food really. There are some nice places and local gems here and there. I have traveled quite a bit around the state and found some favorites. If you ever go to cedar point, there is a place right near by named Famous Dave’s BBQ. Has the best catfish I ever tried. If you drivin through Columbus and want a sandwich, give Wario’s Beef and Pork a try. It’s a small small sandwich spot but oml it’s good. Maybe you craving something different, Ena’s Caribbean Kitchen is super good. Jerk chicken and oxtails are amazing.

Those are small places. The place I mentioned, Swensons is like a fast food place but has an old timeness about it. You drive up, park, and the employee runs out to you to take the order. No drive thru. There was only one location for a long while but luckily they’ve expanded. People would make the drive to eat there and they did good. They make their shakes the old fashioned way, sort of like Steak ‘n Shake.

Only the old time locals know about asking about “broken onion rings” from swensons but it’s a secret worth sharing lol. They give you all the ring pieces that have broken as they their make onion rings. It’s like the equivalent of getting those super crispy bits of batter from long John silvers when you got fish. They are just smaller and super crispy. Not on the menu. Yum. If you like some spice get Cajun seasoning on it.

While for myself, I don’t go to fastfood establishments any longer, I do find it amiable that the mmorpg players still discuss as a topic of substance.

Go to literally any actual ice cream or drink oriented place (or anything calling itself a diner) and you’ll find strawberry.

Without going to actual restaurants, in my area that’d be Sonic and Braum’s. Both have it. Spangles also, but that’s a lot more local.

I think Quik Trip (gas station) even has it here.

McDonalds and Wendy’s are not for Ice Cream or Shakes. They’re complete garbage there and yeah they’re going to only sell the most popular flavors because it’s not what their focus is.

What – I loves me some delicious cancer causing petroleum based food coloring.

I love a good old fashioned real Vanilla shake but now I want a Strawberry one!!! grrr!!

Coldstone is a great place for ice cream related things. It’s liken to a more high end expensive Friendly’s. A lot better quality.

Much appreciated, thanks.

BBQ, Brisket, Steak, Pasta, those are my main interest. Houston was flawless for it. Montana was solid too, and the places I visited in boston and hampshire, definitely places I’d visit again.

Basically with those in mind, anyone with recommendations for the above choice of meat/pasta recipes, I’d be very interested in hearing about it, with a mention of state and city.

What ever happened to “Sticks and stones might break my bones but words will never hurt me.”.

My local Panda Express has strawberry Fanta. So good. And they have extra large cups.

You believe that phrase matters and should be taken seriously?

Edit: And I see you responding. Think about it for a sec. Words specifically. What kind of damage can they cause?

I take it seriously. Most of the times the discussions I get into are friendly or at least civil. But if someone starts trash talking me I either ignore them or engage in kind.

it’s a kinda dated flavor by now. plus, by virtue of being synthetic, it doesn’t taste anything like the actual fruit. it’s like “watermelon-flavored” candy

If an item is less popular than the regular stuff restaurants and shops carry, the owners are starting to leave them off the menus/shelves.

It’s happening everywhere. It’ll eventually come back to some places, the strawberry shakes, etc… but it’ll take time yet I think.

Meantime, if you have a blender at home you can go get some strawberries, milk and ice cream/yogurt and just make your own.
It’s better that way anyway.

Edit: Removed.

A lot of words can cause a lot of damage, and even then, that wasn’t what I was getting at before. You seriously believe otherwise? Words should be given free reign?

Edit: But, I get what you’re saying. Your conversations with friends, nothing bad comes of them. But… I think you have a fairly limited mindset here, and while no offence is made, the reality is that words cause a staggering amount of damage.
