There are some Mounts I can never use because I get Simulator sickness. Most Raptors, Heart of the Aspects, the Cloud Serpents and Golems.
They are all Mounts that move around a lot, spinning and dipping, and within minutes I feel nauseas and get a headache.
I was wondering if Blizz would ever consider making one of the smaller, more stable and steady mounts a Herbalism Mount?
I do use the Stirrups, and my Druids do Herbalism, but my Inscription Monk is my Main Herbalist and I’d love for there to be a Mount she can use that doesn’t make me sick. (Anything small.) I don’t care what it looks like, so long as it’s stable when it moves.
Thanks for reading!

The serpents dont make me sick, I just hate their animations
I feel like my character should go flying straight off. Its just very distracting
Shame they made such cool mounts so awful to use

I got it from this site, and my Doctor called it ‘Simulator Sickness’ also.
“Yes. Lots of people feel motion sickness while playing video games . Doctors even have a name for it: They call it simulator sickness because it was first noticed in people using driving or flying simulators .”

You know, every profession has a mount, well, crafting ones do.
You suddenly get me thinking there SHOULD be a herbalism and mining mount for once. It would be only fair that it be used by those with those professions and be obtained through those professions. Blizzard. Make it so.

Man…I’m sorry to say, but Shadowlands flight paths are going to really do a number on you…
Hopefully they have an option to remove the wormhole effect for players who get motion sickness.

What a super helpful post. Too bad it’s incorrect. A simple google search of the term ‘simulator sickness’ would in fact let you know that simulator sickness is a subset of motion sickness and is very much a real thing.
It’s bad enough when someone feels the need to be unnecessarily snarky to someone who is asking for a completely reasonable request. But when you post something snarky that is also completely wrong and easily proven wrong you end up looking like an absolute moron.
What’s worse than a jerk? A dumb jerk.

Ditto. Even an option to stop with all the unstable flying. Just let it fly.

Simulator sickness is most definitely a thing (as you well know since you live it, but apparently some ppl are too lazy to look it up before trying to claim that it does not exist). I wouldn’t bother paying any attention to those who are too lazy to even search the term in google before putting down a snarky response.

This is the reason why I have most of the serpent and MoP dragon mounts, but never use them at all.

These people are the same as those who waltz into troubleshooting threads and go “…this never happened to me…”
How helpful. Go away.

Raptors used to bother me, but I got used to them.
The others don’t bother me at all.
The Heart of Aspects just disappoints me. Its movements are too jerky to be fun.

Yeah. It’s you.
There’s nothing TOO be said. You get motion sickness playing a video game? That sucks. They’re not going to program entirely new mount animations for a fraction of a percent of the player base and they’re not going to stop designing mounts like that for that same fraction of a percent of the population.
A ‘small’ version of the serpent mount that’s a lot less wiggly would be my preference. I don’t get simulator sickness, but I’m all for more options for players to make things more comfy.

if there is nothing to be said why did you comment? I think someone is a little triggered because they got called out on lack of knowledge and being a jerk
