Simplest/Least Button Spec for PVE?

What is everybody finding to have the least amount of buttons? I’m looking to take it easy this season, so looking for something more chill. Demonology seems to be it from what I can find.

Fury, Retribution, Beast Mastery, Frost Mage and Balance are usually pretty decent choices.

Frost is not among the simplest or least buttons anymore

Frost mage is out :frowning:

Fury is still good

Frost DK is chill

Throw orb into pack, drop blizzard on pack, press lance when it lights up, otherwise press flurry, otherwise press frost bolt

Kinda but not really

Frost Mage is very simple according to those who don’t play them, or play them badly.

I’d agree kinda. Imo and I’ve played a lot of alts.

Hunter either ranged spec is extremely easy and I actually rate being a DH much higher than being a warrior. DH does way more dmg and seems to be even simpler than a fury warrior. Was a surprise even to me.

Beastmaster is braindead easy.

Beast mastery is always a solid choice. Simple spec, complete mobility, utility from traps, tanky pet when you need it, just all round a good spec for enjoying the game imo

I may look at dh again or hunter. Everything just seemed to have more buttons than what I remember playing the specs before.

Every spec is chill if you’re happy and not parsing.

No spec is chill if you’re trying to get the max out of it. Even the perceived easy ones.

My advice would be to play something you like, not to worry about topping meters. And enjoy yourself.

If you are looking to push hard content, do the work and learn the class, and work out how to make the amount of spells for the spec work. Practice, practice, practice.

I feel called out in here… but yes BM is just nice.

i can solo 99% of things myself… sometimes it may take a bit to kill that rare-elite… but eventually ill win

Ranged - Hunter - PVE strong
Melee- DH -Pvp Strong

There’s a bit more to frost mage than that but I think it’s fairly simple.

Positioning is always key so it’s a good thing mage’s have such a long reach.
Then spec into as many passives that increase your Fingers of Frost and Brain Freeze. Build up your icicles and save your orbs for packs and bosses, use icy veins along with ray of frost and you can become a powerhouse.

I love mages. They’re so fun but frost is the only spec I can play half way decently and it’s taken me a long time to figure it out but that’s me.

Others get it right away. So try one out, OP. You may just fall in love with them.

  • Almost forgot. Make sure you have a lot of haste. That makes all casters a lot of fun but especially mages.

I’m going to disagree. The way the talents are set up, you actually need two talent set ups, one for single target and one for AoE, we literally can’t do both at the same time. We have zero AoE abilities in our single target setup, and it’s incredibly annoying.

So, if you think constantly having to swap through two completely different setups is easy, then nothing is complicated.

Balance really only has about 5ish buttons. Easy to learn hard to master

This is most DPS specs when you boil it down to core rotational buttons and not long CDs and utility / situational stuff. Couple exceptions, but this really isn’t that complicated of a game.

Tanks and Healers get a little button heavy sometimes since they effectively have 2 kits at once.
