Hi mages. I know this is probably annoying, but what spec of the three would you imagine to be the easiest in terms of complexity? I’m mildly disabled, have some issues with my hand, and have been playing a BM hunter for a long time because it’s pretty straight forward. I’d really like to try leveling up my mage, that’s been sitting at like level 20 or something for ten years, but I’m not sure what spec to go with.
I obviously am not going to be pushing high rated content, I just want something to jump in with that’s relatively easy to pick up and doesn’t have 50 different cooldowns. (I had a outlaw rogue but that was like being a flight controller at Kennedy airport so I said nope).

I feel like probably arcane. Certainly not fire.

Checked my mage, she’s actually lvl 46. But has been parked for like ten years. I think she was Arcane before so I’m gonna try that, and maybe frost. Fire looks too hard lol.
I would start frost fire had a lot of change and arcane isn’t beginner friendly in the past

Frost for me is easier to understand, fire is not that difficult to understand but it’s very reactive, more than frost.
Arcane is the least intuitive, but now the rotation is easier than in df, so i would say overall they are about on par.

Thanks. I got frost up and running and am doing pretty good in the prepatch with it, so I might just stick with frost until I have it down and then go to Arcane later if need be. I’m kinda a one spec person and get stubborn about changing lol.

Just remember, frost may be the easier to understand, but there is an awful lot of skill at the high end.
You can shatter pretty much just about anything, and frost is actually quite complex to play with glacial spike, it’s just easier to pick up compared to the other specs, but it’s actually pretty difficult to fully optimize.

Frost is the easiest and most boring spec Imo.
I’d say Frost is the easiest because it just makes sense to me lol… but it’s the most fun for me 
Frost has the lowest skill floor out of the three but decently high skill celling.
