I’m looking for a very simple transmog that resembles the chainmail set from lower level armour vendors. For some reason I’ve always loved a very simplistic look, and since I’m a newer player, I don’t have many options when it comes to transmog. The armour could come from anywhere realistically, but I would love if it were somewhat easily obtainable. Thanks in advance!
Unfortunately, since Plate wearers actually wear Mail at lower levels, most low level chainmail is, you know, Mail armor. And thus not xmoggable to Plate.
This was actually changed (In I want to say, Legion?) so that Plate wearers now wear plate from level 1.

So did they make new plate armor/grapics for those early levels?
No, mostly reusing the mail graphics since Plate users liked em. They even made a copy of the Scarlet Mail as Plate.
