Simple Joys in Warcraft

It’s a bittersweet one, but I always swoop down and wave at Ahab Wheathoof whenever I fly over Mulgore.

Ezra would have been 27 now, but as Ahab, he’s forever young in Mulgore.

Night elf and human females.

Simple pleasures.

When someone spots you trying to hide and drink in the middle of Wintergrasp and they run over and guard you til you finish.

I love toys, especially the ones that change your race. Being a Broken druid or a moonpaw casting wrath is amazing. Also enjoy the grimoire that makes you all shadowy (it surprisingly lasts an hour!!) Ooo and the magic pet mirror so you can be your minipet. Annnd using the reflecting lens to mess up everyone in your group is more than just amusing.

Matching minipets and mounts to your mogs. Bonus points for matching hunter pets, minipet, mog and mount.

One more before I stop rambling-- finding little places to screenshot, such as a shrine out in the middle of nowhere or the top of a mountain when the shadows fall just right.

When your hunter pet gives someone the side eye for standing too close.

I like to zoom in and watch my character run around and do stuff while wearing a nice transmog. The animations in WoW are really smooth.

Goblin jumping (into water) from high places.

Gliding around on the DH.

Seeing how long I can manage to stay flying in DF. My personal best has been about 45 minutes.

I decided that my hunter had to go tame all the cool things this expac also.

And lately, fishing.

I think I mentioned up-thread about timed non-stop circumnavigation of the Dragon Isles. My best time so far is 9 minutes, 29 seconds.

You gotta get yourself really high up and then do some downwards, straighten out, then go back up a while…you can hover for about 10 seconds before you really have to worry about it.

Roads and rivers are really fun to fly around also.

I’m having too much fun with it.

That sounds like a prohibited maneuver the Super Hornet pilots call a “tail slide” – fly straight up until the jet starts falling back down, and keep it pointed vertical for as long as you can.

Everybody knows you’re not supposed to do it, but somehow everybody knows exactly how it’s done.

I’ve been learning how to steer better.

I think that was the day I discovered the banners thing.

Leveling in the vanilla zones.

I’ll make a toon and level via questing 1-60 there before eventually doing it all over again. I just really enjoy the quests and the feel of Azeroth then. I take my time! It’s very relaxing to me.

i love seeing people using the benches to afk…it makes me happy when someone sits next to me in Valdrakken :revolving_hearts:

i kind of hope they allow druid moth form to “sit” vertically on walls & trees…would be joy to do that under lamp posts at night :butterfly:

This is one of my old Stupid WoW Tricks staples. Flying the Elwynn – Westfall – Darkshire – Redridge – Elwynn circuit. I like to skim just above the road surface. At 310% speed, the bridge between Westfall and Darkshire is a real challenge. But it feels good to make the whole circuit without getting hung up once.

I wonder what that plate of fruit was before it was a plate of fruit.

I do the same with rivers. Especially when I have a Hallow’s End broom. I drag my toes in the water.

I didn’t appreciate wow’s sunsets until I played gw2 and while they do have a day/night cycle but there’s no transition period. It’s day and suddenly you blink and it’s nighttime. Kind of jarring when I was used to a good hour of golden afternoon light fading into the night skybox. Perfect time to sit on a pier and fish :fishing_pole_and_fish:

Sometimes I don’t do anything just park myself on a hill a do some self reflecting ,a what if moment.

Of course, half the time it gets short when a mob runs by chasing a player, lol.
