It’s not really the win-win you think it is considering having your server die on you and then merged with a bunch of other servers plays hell on the community.
Which was supposed to be one of the big appeals to Classic.

The simplest thing to do… keep posting this until they tell us that fresh is coming.
We all KNOW its coming and they KNOW they are going to give players that want fresh fresh servers.
But honestly we NEED to keep posting about the need and the how to steps to make fresh a reality. This way we can push down reasonable #somechanges posts to the gutter where they belong.
considering having your server die on you
My classic server is already dying. Without fresh servers your classic era server is going to die for good the second TBC launches. With or without fresh servers. I’m sorry to tell you this.
Well I’m not saying don’t do fresh servers. I’m just saying, be careful with them because it’s not a change you can unmake if it ends up doing damage to the existing servers.
and “my leg is already bruised so let’s go ahead and break it entirely” isn’t a compelling argument here.
The damage can be mitigated. If fresh servers turn out to be some sort of disaster (they won’t) then the community demand for them will drop to near zero and people would stop asking for them.
But you and I both know that isn’t going to happen.
Not the “whole reason” btw.
People have made numerous posts on why fresh is a bad idea as a whole but the fresh community continues to ignore these points.
It opens the door for continued complaining about everything.
People will complain their fresh servers are dead a couple months in.
These servers cannot be merged with normal servers because people will complain.
You cannot open transfers to these servers because people will complain.
PVP arena etc will be dead on these servers because they will have to be on their own battleground group or people will complain.
Due to the timeline of people leveling they would have to have their own arena season time span.
Due to the leveling of players they would have to have their own timeline for release of new content.
This and many more reasons blizzard doesn’t want to deal with fresh it opens the door for endless more problems for them and i understand why they don’t want to do it off the start.
They said progression server is prioritised first. Take it easy, you will have fresh
That is a good point deimos. The fresh server concept seems easy, but they do have problems.
If they connect then pvp wise it’s at a disadvantage. Otherwise it’s a separate league.
My concern is also about the existing servers, which I highly doubt the people on fresh servers will give much of a damn about.
We don’t even have them yet and you’re already trying to argue a stance of “Well they’re gonna be dead anyway so oh well”.
It opens the door for continued complaining about everything.
People will never stop complaining. And classic community did not invent complaining. I know that sounds crazy.
People will complain their fresh servers are dead a couple months in
If that were the case you just merge the servers until you have one remaining. If that server dies then all demand is gone and the “complaining” (that you’re so upset by) dies with it
These servers cannot be merged with normal servers because people will complain
And they shouldn’t be merged with progressed servers. Obviously.
You cannot open transfers to these servers because people will complain
Yes. Because that defeats the entire purpose of fresh. Only gold sellers would care about something like this.
PVP arena etc will be dead on these servers because they will have to be on their own battleground group or people will complain
This is not a problem. You can literally have a check box that allows you to queue cross-realm or not when you queue.
Due to the timeline of people leveling they would have to have their own arena season time span
So what. And that doesn’t even matter at all on fresh vanilla servers.
Due to the leveling of players they would have to have their own timeline for release of new content
Again this is just a TBC problem and would a take an engineer 5 minutes to solve on a napkin.
This and many more reasons blizzard doesn’t want to deal with fresh it opens the door for endless more problems for them and i understand why they don’t want to do it off the start
EnDless PrObLeMs???
you’re better off saving your energy. dudes mind is totally made up and not so big on the whole “polite debate” thing.
I don’t think you know what “debate” means. I’ll give you a hint. You have to actually answer questions that people pose to you instead of deflecting and changing the subject my guy.
this is how you reply when you respond to people. you seem to lack self awareness, or the ability to understand what “polite” debate means. no one wants to waste a bunch of time arguing with someone who does nothing but insult them and try to make them feel bad for disagreeing.
Ah yes, another deflection attempt
Subject change coming in 3…2…1…
i’ll explain it to you as clearly as i can. i do NOT want to converse with you. that’s why i am not responding. i could post my response in another thread entirely as an easter egg for you to find. i have reasons i said that. but responding to you directly will just lead to insults and harassment. why would any sane person do that? i made a point to show the people in dudes thread what kind of person he was. but i am not gonna waste my time doing it on every super aggressive person who tries to bludgeon others with their opinions.
Does this mean you will stop replying to my comments now?
i tried to stop talking to you many posts ago. you’re the one that keeps accusing me of deflecting. i tried to stop talking to you quite a while ago. the question really is. does this mean you’ll stop replying to my comments now?
Yes, here’s the transcribed version:
It feels like this question was aimed for Vanilla Classic Fresh servers, not specifically TBC.
Personally, I believe it would be the wisest choice to release those new TBC servers at Pre-Patch.
This cuts down the burden of juggling two sets of TBC server Phases. The Phases roll out at the same time for less fuss.
You can always start F R E S H on a classic era server and put limits on items and your own timeline. LOL
