Simple approach to class skins

About the upcoming hero talents and the discourse regarding class skins.

If you look back at old tier sets there are more than a few which while made to be worn by all classes of a particular armor type (cloth with cloth, plate with plate etc) mainly appeal to 1 specific fantasy to the detriment to others.
for example, im wearing the pvp set from shadowlands season 1, and for many it looks like an excellent set for maybe a paladin but as death knight it lacks any of the imagery found on dedicated DK plate set (skulls, dark color, spikes)
To skip straight to the point one method of satisfying the players who long for the option to visually overhual their character’s abilities would be to create class skins as a sort of opposite stylization to the current norm.

case in point, if we apply this fix to my situation would see a “redeemed death knight” that weilds light magic, the abilities and rotation is 100% identical but is visaully counter to the bones and disease from a death knight. or perhaps a fallen paladin that would look like a death knight. or a warlock that weilds arcane magic.

this post is intended as a pure brainstorm of sorts, obviously some classes dont have a foil such as rogues or monks, as someone who has played pretty much every class in a raid environment the option to reroll is always there, nevertheless there are a number of players who dedicate all of their time into one character and having a feature such as this make its way into the game could provide a new experience for them without forcing them to leave the comfort of a class/spec they have grown accustomed to.

on a side note a much less developed form of this “class skin” proposal already exists in game as glyphs.
