Silvermoon

Out of pathetic desperation, I dragged my character to Silvermoon and visited the top floor of the inn.

What do I see? Nothing! No one was there—not a soul.

What the hell, Wyrmrest? Don’t tell me I have to go to… ::shutters:: …Goldshire.

Silvermoon isn’t the busy-bee city it usually is on a Tuesday morning, sad to say.

Nah, this was a day or two ago, in the evening. Just a delayed reaction.

You probably didn’t visit at the right time. I dunno, I don’t go upstairs in inns.

Silver moon used to be the rp hot spot it is pretty empty these days

All of WRA is empty - most folks shuffled their way off server.

It’s quiet in most areas.

I’ve yet to log in for the day. Tam’s been renting a room there for the past couple of days until a situation in Orgrimmar gets resolved.

From what I’ve seen, WrA Goldhsire is nothing like MG Goldshire. If you’re looking for what I think you’re looking for, you won’t find it there either.

But back to the issue of people in Silvermoon! The population is definitely smaller, but there’s still plenty of RP there. Like I said, I’ve had this character based out of there for the past couple of days. Every day is full of shenanigans.

And there’s these folks trying to get people to stick around in large public space to RP.

That is actually laughably incorrect.

Just because you are having issues finding RP doesn’t mean everyone left the server. I’ve never had an issue finding RP on Horde or Alliance in WrA for the most part and neither have my guildees.

It also helps to be the one to initiate RP rather than to sit and hope one initiates for you.

low or high pops arent going to determine if rp is easy to find.

Yeah I don’t exist and am a figment of your imagination

Most folk seem to have shifted to Orgrimmar. The Wyvern’s Tail is practically bursting at the seams each night.

The “stand around like statues” culture must have gotten tiring

Unfortunately, I think that’s what happened. Orgrimmar has a significantly chiller vibe so people can get on sillier, and more extraverted, characters. And it just kept building as people found it easier to meet people there because of it.

It also attracts a neat little dogpile of corpses.

I can agree with this. My silly side comes out sometimes in Org.

I’m starting to think that my undead death knight absolutely hates Org. He puts up with it… for now. ::cackles in dk::

…I should have him experiment on those corpses.

Based on your experiences, perhaps; this is anecdotal, though.

I’m someone who almost always is the one doing the walk ups, and never stands around waiting for other people, and I never really have issues finding RP when I want it, just to be clear; I’m not making a personal complaint here.

That said, compared to a few months ago, there has been significant drop in activity both for World RP and organized RP content - based on the account of a good dozen GMs/RP organizers that I spoke to this in the past two weeks alone. I’d say that counts for something.

I’ve made a lot of friends over the years on WRA, and for me to look at my friends list and see almost two thirds of them over on MG now for the Alliance side - that’s pretty telling.

Horde side is a bit more lively on WRA, but it’s all slowed down dramatically: this is also part of the typical trend of expansion lulls though.

Valley of Honor has always been the hot spot Horde side; kind of just how it’s been over there - similar to the Cathedral/Blue Recluse Alliance side.

Corpse pile sounds new though.

You should come check it out.

It’s a dead man’s party. Who could ask for more?
Everybody’s comin’; leave your body on Orgrimmar floor.

OP, bare in mind that we are now in the expansion lull state.

If anything the choice of rp partners is somewhat overwhelming, and this goes for almost all flavors of rp. Foresaken continue to be a very small presence, however seeing more of em lately.

Really the only thing besides undead I would love to see more players doing is characters not easily portrayed by in-game models, that’s just personal bias though. Oh trolls are a tad sparse too.
