Just to follow up, here’s a concept that shows what Ironforge could be if it were revamped with modern lighting and such (click for full size + artist page).
Lol there’s 5 people there at a time.
i see groups/guilds RPin there all the time on wyrmrest
Yes, more…they’d fix everything.
Im no belf fan but doing the heritage armour quest reminded me how sad that story was. But yeah a revamp wuldnt be bad. I think we will get it at some point.
That cookie chocolate chip?
So much for the Sin’dorei… more like Sad’dorei
Daaaaaaaaaaaamn.
Since Silvermoon and the Blood Elf Starting Areas are part of the Outland continent map (which is why there is an instance portal to get there), this will probably never happen. Same with the Draenai starting areas.
Visit Silvermoon on Roleplay servers. It will be active. Heck, it is almost the Goldshire of the Horde.
It’s all the pillows and places to lie down.
It’s the most comfortable city in WoW.
It’s too bad because Azuremyst and Bloodmyst are already flyable since The Exodar doesn’t use smoke and mirrors like Silvermoon does, and the fact that they’re islands prevents any spatial collisions from happening, which makes it easy to cut them from the Outland map and paste them on the Kalimdor map. The only reason Azuremyst+Bloodmyst aren’t part of Kalimdor and flyable is because it wouldn’t be fair to do only them and not Eversong+Azuremyst too.
So really, to make both flyable they just need to rebuild Silvermoon and resolve the spatial conflict between Deatholme and Stratholme (probably by moving Deatholme).
Knowing what Blizzard’s art team can pull off, like Suramar city? I definitely wish that they would redo Silvermoon and the Exodar. The art team could do so much with the ruins area of Silvermoon, even add an area for the Nightborne. Since they are already all over the city…only ‘update’ Silvermoon has gotten. Just copy pasting NPCs around.
Also for nostalgia people they can always add a bronze drake like they did for UC.
Silvermoon is definitely my favorite city. It’s been my home in game since I started playing WoW. When players still had to go to their class trainers I’d always go to Silvermoon. All of my characters hearthstones are set to Silvermoon. When the Cataclysm beta started, and screenshots started to appear, the only thing I wanted to see were screenshots of a revamped Silvermoon.
The Shadowlands might be the perfect expansion to have the dead scar finally be healed.
the thing is…we cant fly there, and even if we could it needs a revamp cause it looks crap looking from the sky…
and even with all of this aside, people would still not go in there cause there´s no need to, unless you´re at rp server
It does seem like a place that time, as well as Blizzard, forgot. It should have been the “Stormwind” of the Horde, instead it seemed like it was added as an afterthought. It was made to look cool, but basically be empty and useless.
That was when I stopped playing my one Horde character, when I tried a Blood Elf alt in BC. I was all excited, got to Silvermoon, then logged off and eventually deleted the Blood Elf. I hated the Horde aesthetics otherwise, especially their existing cities, so I thought that place might make them tolerable; Nope.
I didn’t know they ALSO didn’t even add fishing and cooling dailies. Again, it is like they just dumped that place.
They should just basically do it over, leaving the existing architecture but making it more active and easier to use. They should mirror what you can do in Stormwind, add a portal to it (if there isn’t one, haven’t looked at it since BC), let you fly in that area, etc.
