Careful what you wish for.
People wanted Darnassus revamped as well and look what happened.
Best to just leave it forgotten so Blizzard doesn’t sacrifice it to the macguffin plot gods.

Every city needs more Pandas and their fluffy goodness!
I’m going to be ‘that’ person, and propose the following solution from D. Drathir Inc.
"Silvermoon City is such a far removed and insignificant place in World of Warcraft, that serves to simply divide the playerbase. As a final nod to the theme set down in Battle for Azeroth, the marauding Scourge should strike Silvermoon City and the Sunwell a final time. Desperate to stop a new font of rot from being born, the Draenei make a tactical decision to incinerate Silvermoon and Quel’danas.
How? By flying the Exodar into it.
This would render both Exodar and Quel’thalas as ‘destroyed’ territories, and solve the problem of the Elves and Draenei once and for all. The Elves get back to their Burning Crusade mentality, and the Draenei become a part of the Dead Scar. It’s win win."
A lot of people where hoping there would be a warfront there for this reason.
Its my least favorite place. I feel sad being there, even for a moment
I don’t think they actually know how to revamp it and keep outland quest chains that lead to it. I mean it doesn’t even have flying and they haven’t even worked out how to add monks to the Worgen and Goblin quest zones.
Maybe if they remake other expansions from the ground up like they did with Classic they’ll figure out how. But I legitimately believe they don’t know how to edit parts of their own game at the moment.
Personally though I just want Ogrimmar to have a section for every race complete with architecture like they did with the tauren and trolls. We all know Ogrimmar is the only city anyone actually uses unless you visit Thunderbluff or Undercity for the asethetics and Undercity doesn’t exist anymore in the lore so it’s probably not getting any changes unless Alliance redecorates and robs it of it’s gothicness. I mean from an ingame perspective the less desert-like climate of Silvermoon is probably better for Forsaken Civilian refugees who want to keep their skin mostly intact or want to maintain the illusion of smelling nice. I don’t know if it ever made it into the game but I remember hearing alot of embalming being the new makeup and beauty product industry in Undercity. And Ogrimmar’s climate is going to really mess with the noncombatant types of Undead who have basically spent the last however many years trying in vain to eke out a normal life via that sort of thing.
But I digress, if you atleast let them hang out in one of the subterranean parts of the city instead of being exposed to the elements constantly. That would really do my immersion a world of good. As would prissy elves and proud zandalari trolls trying to force their asethetics on Ogrimmar (I mean the cabins in the villages BTW, I doubt Zandalari are going to be able to recreate the giant gold laden aztec pyramid in Ogrimmar anytime soon)
The thing I like the most about the Horde is the eclecticism. I’d really like to see Orgrimar reflect this better. If it wasn’t for the terrible identity crisis/war crime story loop I might even main Horde.
the thing i love most about the horde, are the playable high elves
for quel’thalas!
Careful, they’ll burst in here like the Kool-Aid man to try and argue their desires into existence.
We look so good in red.
That is true, now we need a place to live that isn’t a cardboard cut out.
I’m glad I’m not the only one who thought this.
I hold out for the day Ogrimmar becomes eclectic and full of lil racial “slums” that are actually highly asethetically pleasing.
I also always feel sad. The poor forest trolls had their sacred ground so cruelly stolen from them. Just give it back
What sacred group is this? Only sacred place I know is the Sunwell
oh oops. Sacred Ground
Edited
but silvermoon/quelthalas was originally sacred ground for the forest trolls before the high elves invaded is what i was getting at haha
Still looks pretty sacred to me…maybe the Forest Trolls just don’t know true sacredness when they see it. I’d say we’ve taken excellent care of the area…who was fighting the scourge and protecting their sacred grounds? Wasn’t the Amani that’s for sure
That lot are just lazing about building huts and doing Voodoo. Not a one is on the deadscar trying to set things right.
Ironforge and TB are in such bad need of attention it’s absolutely ridiculous. Neither has received significant changes since freaking WoW 1.0.
It’s a damn shame, because I can only imagine what IF would be like if it were built with the same methods as Suramar and Boralus… it might even get back the second tier that got cut out in the beta!
They have to update the city’s or destroy them those places are really old
I know which option they’ll probably pick…takes less resources to scrap something than to fix it.
