Why do people think blizzard won’t throw out the most outdated version of the blood elves zones when they have already recreated a new version in midnight? What is the point of keeping an outdated version when the newer version is already an upgrade and is up to standard to modern World of Warcraft? This mentality of keeping outdated version is so obtuse.
If I was one of the many of the decision makers I would say use the newer version and just make it in the past while keeping the updated look and feel.
One final thing, why even keep a version where you can’t even fly in and stuff it doesn’t make any sense?
It’s 100% getting a revamp. Don’t listen to the people saying it isn’t.
That said, there’s also a very high chance that revamp will turn it into a neutral capital for the expansion, with the Alleria and the Void Elves taking over part of Silvemoon for the Alliance, with Lor’themar’s approval.
Unless you want them to plop down an alliance stronghold in Quel’thalas, the only option Blizzard has is to make Silvermoon the Neutral Hub for Midnight, as it takes place exclusively in Quel’thalas.
Why even keep the outdated city where it’s so unfinished and it really shows its age if people want the game to attract more players it needs to replace it with the new so that it’s more presentable.
I’m always a bit skeptical of your threads because they always tend to feel like trojan horse concealing a High Elf thread.
However I’m fairly certain they will be updating the zone, along with the city. Blizzard are obviously aware people covet flying and will probably be remodelling along with revamping the areas to make such allowable. I mean like, the people saying it’s not getting a revamp or new models & assets etc — are in super-denial. lol
I’d imagine so too. Keep some of its OG flavour of sorts.
I think they mean like the routes of the city & some of its overall-location points to access certain utilities, trainers etc.
Having a familiar sense of the old (although still revamped with todays graphics & art) with the shining of the new stuff could be a good easter egg reference to their past, which I think is pretty golden.
I’d rather not have that, personally. lol
— However, I wouldn’t mind if they just all had a handshake & allowed them in city (as a neutral capital like you said) akin to Dalaran overall and had Alleria now alongside the advising councilors of Lor’Themar.
I feel that’d be the wisest option, relatively speaking.
As a follow up to what I posted above for those interested;
I can’t post links, but just search Youtube for Blizzcon Q&A The War Within and WoW Classic. The response starts at the 25 minute mark. Listen to the whole response to the question.
Yeah, it’s pretty obvious we are getting those BC zones on the continent updated.
My bad, I’d just woken up and hadn’t had coffee before that post .
It’s entirely possible, but I’d say we get Silvermoon access. Especially since they were touting the whole “reunification” of the elven peoples thing in the Midnight announcement.
I am all for a Silvermoon revamp and I think I have the ultimate best idea on what we can do. Revamp it into a massive lasertag park. Or… Hire a ton of elves to do all the work and then blow it up on a Wednesday when the chances occupancy will be greatest.
