Hey gang, Jeemana / Ranja from Stormfist and later Insufficient Light here. Also did a lot of raiding with Rotten Luck both before and after the move to The Scryers.
Looking forward to some vanilla fun in WoW Classic!

Yeah, IL was the very first guild in the game, in fact their guild name was printed in the vanilla manual for the game. I raided with them as a guest on Silver Hand, moved with them to The Scryers, and joined them as a guild member and main raider in Wrath. Good dudes, we all knew each other IRL, California-based guild.
I was in it (and am still the guild master on my baby warlock, on Silver Hand). I think it still exists on Scryers even, but I left it in the middle of Wrath. Yay drama.

Yeah, middle of Wrath is when IL had a big split and schism based on whether the guild should remain a casual friends group based in California or open up to outsiders and stay competitive raiding. The latter seems to have won the day at that time, and that’s when I got promoted from “guest raider” (after 4 years of raiding with IL as a guest) to “main healer”. I remember Laaw was the raid leader, and a hard-@$$, but we had a lot of fun all the same.

I played early on as Cyanoplax (troll priest) in Rotten Luck. I eventually transitioned over to Ceratozona (cow shaman). Many hours of fun PVPing and raiding with Ironsong. I miss the other old guilds like Stormfist, Insufficient Light, and Wartorn. Lovely seeing all these folks here.

Detton here - member of Harsh Winter back for years back in the day. I remember meeting with and getting my invite from Nuala way-back-when - I still have the original level 70 character at Burning Crusade level cap.
Eventually joining with Rotten Luck. Played since Day-1, moved servers a couple times for various reasons. I’m Detton on Bloodsail Raiders now as well, ran into the Rotten Luck charter atop the Orgrimmar flight tower early into classic.
