Silver covenant faction as an alliance allied race topic

They’re not, and never have been, looking for a compromise.

Hell I don’t even think they actually care about the SC… they just want their pale skinned blue eyed blonde haired pure elves on the Alliance.

Hard to tell if they even want that, or if they’re just spamming for the luls

Fezzy and most of my other Alliance toons are still in Blue Recluse.

Fenelon is on a different server and joined a friends guild.

Incidentally though, we used to have our Officer meetings in the Blue Recluse Tavern. :stuck_out_tongue:

alliance always had and have those elves before they were passed to save dying horde.

ELVEs are alliance thing, or on their own, not horde.

So we want already existing faction of elves playable.

Why you want more races for a dead faction ?

See?

They don’t care about the SC. It’s all for lols.

You and your alt Alleriara?

They think the word history isn’t what it means (They even said it ‘literally has nothing to do with the past’ then brought in incorrect origins of the word) and tried ‘educating’ me with false information. I think it’s needless to say that either English, and wits isn’t really their strong suit - along with this thread. lol

I even tried to provide one (A compromise) at the start of this thread and they argued against me on titles & lore, and canon references later:

^ That’s the compromise I tried giving & they argued against that with made up bs, along with adding more arguments over factual knowledge I brought in about the Sin’dorei.

people who want playable SC elves faction

This is what gets me, really. It’s like, okay. I get being a roleplayer playing a non-playable race or race variation. I’m in that boat. But the game has transmog, there’s addons like TRP3 that can describe your character in further detail…how many variations of a specific Elf type do you need in one game? What depth of a lack of imagination does it speak to if you need Blizzard to specifically put the very narrow thing that you specifically play, when there are already races that look SO close to what you want to play in the game that just dressing them up in some transmog will do it?

It would be nice if my Void Elf - who I RP as a Quel’dorei who escaped through the Outlands with with Kael and called herself a Sin’dorei and then was tossed from Tempest Keep by a rival and headed up a guard unit in Silvermoon and then grew disenchanted with Orcs and spiky mud huts and defected with Alleria’s group despite not having much to do with the Void and has basically gone back to thinking of herself as Quel’dorei - could have white hair and blue eyes like I imagine her having. And even if they put in a “Silver Covenant” allied race (coughcoughHighElves) that still wouldn’t fit her specifically.

But I don’t HAVE to have Blizzard specifically put something specific to that character’s unique weird deal in the game. I have TRP3, I have an imagination. I’ve already got an Elf of the appropriate general build, and if I didn’t, honestly, I would’ve gone the old-fashioned route and rolled a human or a Night Elf as a stand-in. A wider variety of cosmetic options for Void Elves would be nice so that roleplayers could customize their look further to basically have a High Elf appearance, sure.

But eventually, you get to a point where every single person wants their own custom unique allied race in the game. Void Elves were nice in that they were closer to what I want to play, but honestly I didn’t even need it to go that far. On account of transmog, addons, and imagination.

I tried to make night elves and humans work in the past for this purpose, but never could. Then again, I don’t RP or use TRP3 so that could have something to do with it.

Void elf pretty much does it for me now. I just work the void into their plot in some way, which seeing as the Ren’dorei were formed by a Thalassian hero, that’s not too much of a stretch imo.

I had that issue too.

This.

Though on Raenani I just ignore the void bit altogether.

Do you use the /cancelaura macro on her, or just pretend EE is something else like arcane?

I mostly pretend it’s an arcane thing. I’ve considered the cancel aura macro a few times… But I like the dmg boost and don’t have an issue ignoring it or just going with an arcane empowerment.

That makes sense. It is purple/blue after all.

Personally I just work the void into all of my velves’ plots, even my SC tabard wearing Kyrian warrior one named Dawnsteel haha.

Fenelon here was a high elf.

I think I’ve gone through his story before.

But he became a Void elf in a way more akin to Alleria, though his path led to a few tentacles on his back and an extra mouth in his stomach.
