We’re a few hours early, no?
Vommeted in my mouth a lil bit. Update, blizzard got me with that, lololololol.
Not in Australia. It’s been April Fools for 12 hours, 47 minutes so far. The Lightforged skins being blue like they were described as in BtS is a nice touch though.
A bit soon for April Fools I think, but it is what it is. You’re jumping the gun their WoWhead, but I appreciate the enthusiasm. Not going to lie though, touch up the textures a bit and I wouldn’t mind the option of the boneless Forsaken model, as an additional customization choice.
-Inhales and raises a finger to protest-
-Smiles and lowers finger.-
it’s not april 1st yet
The grape-flavored orcs were a dead giveaway.
This is totally real.
I think this already exists in China as the only option for forsaken, minus the glowly light parts, since the government there declared that bones and scary jawless faces were too much.
When I saw this on Wowhead, I admittedly freaked out before remembering what day it was Nice one, guys, nice one. Really playing on my paranoid fear of Calia spawning more ~Lightbound Undead~ or whatever they’d be called, urgh.
What you don’t want to see Jaina resurrected as the second first gen lightforged undead after Sylvanas kills her?
The world is bigger than North America.
May it forever dwell in your nightmares.
The Overtuned Pepe Goggles however…
Now that I’d be on board with.
… Especially if they worked in Dungeons and Raids too… (you’re thinking of it now, and no, I am not sorry.)
That’s a fundead qt.
Might be an April Fools post now, but Lightforged Undead are looking pretty likely, whether or not that’s a good or bad thing.
“Good or Bad thing” depend on implementation (to some degree). What makes an Allied Race popular may be its appearance, but what makes an Allied Race “Good” is its lore and culture. This is why Void Elves are hotly contested because they really don’t have much of the latter.
IF (and big IF) Blizz goes with “Lightforged Forsaken” (or something to that effect), then they need to separate the Forsaken down a line of identity. While ALL Forsaken likely cherish both parts of themselves to some degree, there are those that still wish to identify primarily as their selves when they were citizens of Lordaeron (and would if allowed to freely); and there are those that have largely abandoned those identities, and now identify stronger with their new (and still developing) Forsaken culture and community. They’ve truly left their old names behind…
Neither “Identity” type is really a negative on its own. But, exploring that issue of identity is the only way I can see an “Alliance Undead” Allied Race working on a narrative level. That being said, prepare yourselves … if “Alliance Undead” are really going to be a “thing”, pretty sure that hammers another nail in the coffin of the “Mostly” Blue EK; and “Mostly” Red Kalimdor theory (especially if the Horde equivalent is some sort of compilation of the Darkfallen Undead Elven races).
It is?
Balderdash! Next you’ll say the Earth isn’t a pyramid!
Nno, not really.
What is likely is something relating to Calia at most, not a whole new playable “race”. Don’t get me wrong, it’s still possible, I just don’t see it in the same realm of possibility as say Vulpera or something.
