do they drink water? they’re big firey beasts, do they need to drink water, or do they drink lava or something? also, do they eat meat? i mean, they’ve got sharp teeth, so probably, but they live in volcanos, so maybe they eat rocks or something… 
Most insects dont drink water, but get their hydration from the food they eat.

Before or after taming them as a hunter? Because they seem to be fundamentally altered in the taming process and start taking damage from lava after being tamed.
They seem to be drooling lava at all hours of the day, so maybe they don’t actually drink anything and it is sort of just…triggered endlessly by the world’s worst case of acid reflux.

They are from the firelands, I hope they don’t need to drink water. 
I’d wager like the spider-kin in the Firelands, they devour power from other elementals that they’re able to overcome or surpass in strength. However they have an appetite of:
- “Simple flesh, they set it ablaze and devour the ash.”
- or “Prime, pristine coal – To stoke the fires of their stomach and heart.”
To satisfy their needs.
Core hounds are elementals, so I imagine they sustain themselves in the same manner as any other elemental.
Which is to say they don’t drink water.
