18 floors for this quest. If you get bad powers or die to much you got to do it all over again from the start… Can you farm this off floor 6?

I was on the last boss who had 2803k health. I’m ivl 196 and had 68 anima powers and 82k health.
The boss could at points hit me and I’d go from 100% health to around 10% to 15% health.
I managed to kill him with my last life. If I would have had to do that all over from floor one to end up in same boat again, I’d probably just be like F this until last patch of expac and everything is handed out like candy because of catch up and new OP stuff added.

resto druid. Cleared every single mob, got every anima I could over about 2.5 hours. Got to the final boss with no deaths along the way, none of the gatekeepers were even that difficult even floor 17. Floor 18 boss. 2 mil health, MAW OF THE MAW.
Just impossible to do. When you have very limited time to play WoW daily because of real life responsibilities and you manage to set aside a good chunk (I spent almost 4 hours if you include boss attempts and waiting 10mins for night elf seed death save to reset) and still don’t even complete this regular storyline quest and have to give up.
It’s just extremely disheartening and makes you want to walk away from the game entirely.

No, I think that diablo developer they moved over to WoW has had a lot of influence over the game’s direction - and not all of it good - raining useless loot - timed go go go activities and Torghast is like a rift sans the loot.

I wasn’t paying attention, but I’m figuring about 1 hour 20min. All the floors were super easy as ret. I could pull lots of mobs and aoe them.
Just that last boss was in my opinion a little over tuned.

I’ve seen a lot of poorly designed quests in this game, but this takes the cake. 2.5 hours of time completely wasted.

Completely agree, this quest is complete garbage. I’m sorry but 18 freaking floors and the difficultly of the boss is insane. Talk about wasting hours of your time for no reward at all if you fail to beat the boss with the number of lives you have. I was already getting bored of the torghast grind but this just put me over the edge, I’m done with it until they make some serious changes.

I managed to get to level 12 on my affliction lock… what a long slow slog that was. Truly. I got two clues and hopefully will be able to restart at one and pick up the third on six (unless they hot patch it).
I sincerely hope they really don’t mean for their main focus of SL to be Torghast. It’s just… awful.

You can do this Torghast 3x, up to floor 6, to get all 3 clues. You don’t have to do floor 1-18 to get all 3.

I went into this thinking I’d get the quest done quickly … 13 floors later, is this a joke? I also keep encountering a final boss that hits me repeatedly with some weird ~5 sec pacify debuff (it’s not cast, it’s not visible, I literally have no idea how or what triggers it, but it renders me unable to attack for what adds up to a lot of time)
We can’t get the benefit of starting on floor 6/12, or having the bosses drop actual loot?
Just have to waste hours of time and hopefully not wipe?
This is baffling and insane. I legitimately don’t care about the RP enough to waste the time. Have to wonder if anyone involved in this has a coherent design thought in their brain.

A clue drops off the boss on floor 6 - if you queue it three times, and only do up until the 6th boss each time (exit at floor 7 and requeue) you can get all 3 clues much easier than trying to do it straight through to floor 18.
