This is my return to raiding since the end of dragonflight… i got myself into a core raiding guild team (cause i wanna aotc), its probably the 3 or 4 week of the season, and i did basically everything i could have done except m+ (and yes, i did +11 delves), i enter there with 680ilv (which i though it was maybe okay for running my first run on normal), and my whole team is almost ilv 700 with 720 weapons already.
instead of trying to express what i’m feeling right now, i just told you this situation at hand and i will say this instead… screw you mythic plus

I chased item level last season and was burnt out. You’ll have like 6 months to do things. Don’t stress

You don’t need mythic ilvl gear to clear heroic raid.

Good news: Crests drop outside M+.
There is a reason I avoid certain content, and am fine with a lower iLvL. I have 680 atm. 723 is not that important to me.

720 crafted weapon is relatively easy to get if you feel like running around doing the chores for the keys and T11 Delves and stuff and I don’t feel like it.
I’m in 6 and 7 keys right now, but they feel bad because people don’t kick. I hate it. People do more damage and take less damage, but they still don’t kick, stop or do the mechanics right.

If you did delves across a bunch of alts last week to get enough Delver’s Journey to unlock the ability to obtain Delver’s Bounties, it’s possible to have enough crests just from delves to get a 720 weapon crafted this week

Yeah but that means you focused on Delves and have a negative IO score and will never enter keys so I hope your plan isn’t to do +7s because you’re not getting into them any time soon, as a pug anyway.
Also I waited like 30 minutes for a tank today and I play healer. That means keys are time consuming. It can take an hour to do one single key.

You being 680 while fine for normal isnt really saying much.
If i remember correctly i think i was at ilv 652 at the beggining of this season… but you’re right, with all these people running around with 720 weapons and heroic ilv gear from m+, I indeed am thrash in comparison
For gilded crests, not in sufficient enough quantity to cap, at least not without doing something that only 3 guilds in the world have accomplished.
The gear that drops from normal tops out at 704 and that’s plenty to clear heroic raid. You can also craft a 720 weapon doing nothing but delves, although it will take you two weeks to raise the crests.
In any case, I have an alt that is almost 690 just from doing M0s, delves or normal raids one night a week since the pre-season patch came out. There’s all kinds of stuff you could be doing to raise your ilvl without much effort at all.
You can have 122 gilded crests this week without touching M+ or Mythic raid. A weapon is 60.
no, 62 (31/week), assuming you managed to grind out R2 delver’s journey last week.
Remember, no crest upgrading this early in the season to gilded.

704 is your hard cap as a Delver.
Heroic/Mythic raiders and key pushers will slowly hit 720 next week.
You get Heroic pieces in Delves, you just get them too slowly.

Do +11 Delves x 3 and one of those with Bounty. Bingo! In two weeks you can get enough Crests to get your 720 weapon.
