Finally got him! What a tedious grind. Not hard though.
Hardest part is seeing the mob that spawns in
Azj Kahet zone. Mob is named Tka’ Ktath. Has a 6 to 12 hour spawn timer. Atleast in my experience. Drops a quest item. Vial of blood. Turn it in and start a tedious grindy quest chain.
For the three grind quests I recommend this:
Do follower dungeons.
For the 1500 Chitin run follower dungeon Ara Kara City of Echoes around 100+ Chitin per run.
For the 1000 venom run follower dungeon City of Threads. Around 50 venom per run.
For the 500 blood, run City of echoes again. 80-90 blood in one run.

Yeah, got the two birds one stone myself.
Felt kinda bad, joined a group, got 4 shards in a row (to a guy’s zero shards in an hour when he already had 9). But yay for me haha.

quest took me around 7 or 8 hours farming the cave but got 20 shards soo got mount plus 10 more to sell later then they make it so anyone who tags rare gets mount down the road
Got it done, took me like 6 hours of farming, made about 500k gold between raw / greens / BoEs.

I’ve had my fair share of unfortunate droprates. This one just happened to be pretty decent for me.

Had the Astral Cloud Serpent drop for me on the first loot. Have only has a handful of times that has happened in almost 20 years lol
