Last 2 weeks I could not be able to do siege on my warrior. I didn’t think it was an big deal so Ignored it. Maybe there will be an fix later on. But Since the weekly NEEDS it to complete. I looked at an few posts. It should be account bound. What steps can I take to do it on my warrior alt?
Show up at the starting point and participate as it starts. Apparently the quest isn’t required to unlock the event, as you can still do it and collect the appropriate reward even without the breadcrumb quest. And the renown level apparently only applies to the quest, not the event.
Thing is. I tried that. Does not SHOW up at all.
I’m having the same issue on both of my alts. Neither the Dragonbane keep or the Feasts show up on them which is quite annoying especially since I had completed a Siege on one at some point to turn in my “Aiding the Accord.” Bliz ticket says it’ll be like 11 days for a response on something that is a weekly CD. As well every post I’ve seen states that this bug was “Fixed” so there’s no additional information. This really needs to be addressed soon.
Same here. Very frustrating, I need to do the weekly
The Siege of Dragonbane needs an NPC in that starting location permanently. Even if the event is not up, that NPC can be a quest turn-in. Then provide a follow-up quest, and when you accept that quest, the NPC automatically spawns a timer above his head – same as the Boat NPC that tells you how long until the event restarts. A countdown timer. At least you know instead of maniacally trying to figure out what is wrong that there is no NPC and no turn-in marker in the map.
Update. The NPC spawned 30 minutes ago. I still can’t turn in the quest. The event has not started. That on top of the 10 minutes I was standing there already with no NPC. There were at least 5 players here when I arrived. Everyone left.
Update: It seems the event NPC says (around minute 50 of each hour) the attack will begin in 10 minutes – i.e. 12:50pm. 1:50pm. 2:50pm. etc. Then the attack starts somewhere around the “xx:00” and “xx:05” of the hour. i.e. 1:00pm. 2:00pm. 3:00pm. etc.
It goes every two hours. The Wowhead front page tracks its current status (Feast too for those who are following that).
There are essentially three states it can be in. “Forces Gathering” which lasts for an hour and during which you will see the NPCs at the start point. Then it starts, and the NPCs leave and the status changes to “Siege Started”. However, it is usually over very quickly - less than 10 minutes if there was a big group. If you get there just after the hour, you want to quickly head into the keep to see if you can catch them up. Then the remainder of that hour it will still say “Siege Started” and there will be no NPCs at the start location, but it will be over and you will have missed your chance to take part.
Ok I was having similar issues but I may have found a solution? On my alt I ended up getting valdrakken renown to 5 anyway, but still was not seeing the timer nor had a quest, so not sure if it mattered. But after doing the quest chain “The last Eggtender” I can now atleast see the timer. The quest is marked like a main story quest and is mostly all done at the Ruby Life Pools, you can stop after doing “the next steppes”
And I went to the area after it had already been completed and there was still over 50 minutes til the next one, but just being there a few seconds completed the weekly and got me a strongbox
I’ve gotten renown passed 5, and have done the entire story line on my alt. still the timer does not show and I have gone to the location multiple times in the last 3 hours and have not even seen any npcs
I have looked up online everywhere for any kind of info, and best I can find is that when you reach renown 5, the little dragon spawns to give you the quest and supposedly can happen at any location in dragon isles. well that hasn’t happened for me either
I’ve even abandoned the quest on another toon and the little dragon spawns right back for me to accept the quest. it is a “mandatory” quest that every has to complete it seems. so what I’m gathering, is that this is a bug that blizzard needs to fix and rather frustrating one. seems like completing the weekly isn’t an option now…
Bumping as I had the same issue and this worked for me. Thank you so much!
My alt hadn’t done any Waking Shores qs and had used the bronze dragon at the Obsidian Bulwark to skip the Wrathion/Sabellian questline, so all I needed to do after I read this comment was fly to the ruby lifepools, talk to Sab and complete “The Last Eggtender” quest and suddenly I could see the horn on the map.
Issue still exists, my alts are unable to see this, even my alt who has completed the suggest “Last Eggtender” quest unfortunately.
Hi crew,
With my absolute crippling alt addiction (5 and counting to max), I’ve discovered that you have to do the entire opening story chain (Heir Apparent) to get introduced to Wrathion and Sabellion, from getting introduced to Wrathion in Stormwind up to the quest “The Last Eggtender”, took about 1.5 hours. Wowhead has an important note on where you can hop forward for the Alt Skip. (https://www.wowhead.com/quest=66779/heir-apparent).
Hope this helps have a fun and safe holiday and end of the year!
the event still requires that you are level 70.
the event only starts every two hours. DO NOT pay attention to the map icon horn’s description of what is going on at the event, it is misleading, it will say the event is over when it is active and it may tell you the event is currently active after the event is over.
I’ve been trying to figure this out on my alts. On one I had to finish the main questline for Waking Shores to get Wrathion quests to continue. It was stuck at the quest “learning to glide your dragon.” I finished it just to see and was able to continue the siege quests that lead you closer to the citadel where he leads you inside. I may have been able to do the siege quest outside of this, not sure.
is there a fix to this? ive had the weekly quest for 2 weeks now on an alt and i cant turn it in
Any way to fix this? my alt has all the main quest in waking shores done, (included the “Last Eggtender”) and still cant see the event, when im in other location i can see the horn in the map but once i enter in to the waking shores i cant see it, and nothing happens in dragonbane keep.
bugged for my alts also
