Good news is that you can get past Galakras now.
Bad news is that touching the elevator after Nazgrim crashes the game. Was in mythic if it matters, but my warrior is now eternally falling down the hole, logging in just to touch the elevator and instantly crash. Had the crash happen about 12 times in a row so I can’t count it as a fluke.

You just have to stop at Nazgrim. I tried it with my hunter as well, same result. Game instantly crashes if you touch his elevator.
Maybe having elevators eat people is part of the 20th anniversary celebration?
Is it touching the elevator platform itself, or is it entering the shaft at all? Wondering if I can still just fall down and not have to worry about it.
I tried that. Touching the platform crashes you. If you jump down the shaft and the elevator meets you coming up, crash. When it gets to the top it’s much bigger than the elevator shaft is, which seems suspicious. Also I ordered my pet to stand on it when it got to the top and the pet refused. Smart pet.
What about jumping down straight after it, then disengaging to avoid the fall damage and not touch it?
That’s exactly what I tried, didn’t work. Maybe if your aim and timing was 100% perfect it would? But that’s a very narrow window and I clearly didn’t have it. You don’t even have to be in the shaft, stepping on the part of the elevator that stretches out over the edge when it’s at the top crashes you as well. Then if you log back in, you log back in touching the elevator, so infinite loop of sadness.
personally I just want the wolf hunter pets inside there.
But then, I found the much cooler ones that match the WoD TWing mount, so I may not even bother with the ones in SoO now
Good news everybody! I logged my warrior back in after they had been logged out long enough to reset and it put them at the bottom of the elevator in the next section of the raid, where I was able to continue normally. So the elevator WILL crash you, but if you log out for an hour or so and come back you can apparently do the rest.

what i do after the crash is go to the website and use unstuck. my toon/character gets ported or moved down the elevator.
happened to me what i finall did was jump and die to the elevator god…u respawn down
took 10 tries was DCing all the time
crashing on normal as well… however, I floated down and after a few disconnects, I made it through.
