20 minute queue to back fill a rage quit into a completely garbage, unwinnable game.
This can’t be how it is. Just bad.

Yeah they never should have made STV doable all the way to exalted. AB is worthless now. I have 2 characters at exalted and played a grand total of 5 games because queue times / reputation gains are so bad, it’s simply not worth doing.
Let’s hope they don’t make the same dumb decision with AV rep.
go get exalted through stv like everyone else its alliances fault they cant win ab because we win to much
I mean even if the queue was instant and every match lasted 10 minutes you’d still hit exalted through BM event light years faster. The rep gains in AB need to be significantly higher for people to want to queue for it
That they don’t have busted, out of control shamans.
The AB gear is not that great. If that’s what youre pvp’ng for, you can stop.
If you want to have near instant queues, roll Alliance.
Alliance was winning fine until you cried about premades.
with Blizzard pulling on your side of the rope, it’s easier to win.
some people have a very weird take on things. The guy points out a very valid and real problem and your answer is to change factions. Lets break that down into what it is.
Let us assume every single person thinks wow this blastwave guy really knows his stuff, im making an alliance character. Then what, will the alliance queues still be instant?
Maybe think about things for more than 4 seconds before you bother responding to posts next time.
Honestly horde try a lot harder in AB. It’s not just shamans
Saltie, there are two options:
Thats it. To the OP, I say, choose one.
Whether you like it or not
If you want shorter bg ques
Then nerf Shamans
On Alliance we can que 1/2/3/4/5 doesn’t matter and it is less than 2 min que.
This is one-sided issue for a reason.
A looooot of Alliance are boycotting bgs atm.
Because of Shaman, alliance does not queue BG anymore. If no body do something, we will lose more players.
Devs have to play Alliance to understand, which is why they don’t understand. THEY are having lots of fun in BG’s, so they wonder what’s the problem you’re talking about.
Yeah instead they have busted paladins shadow priests and boomies.
No but their 5 man premades somehow get priority queue. It’s the only reason I stopped tagging, alliance was doing totally fine in pugs vs pugs AB.
Agreed, shams aren’t the issue.
Aggrend plays Paladin.
Aggrend does not typically participate in battlegrounds.
Oh, all of them have a token Alliance toon (except for the one who really counts, Ion, of course). But I have yet to see an Alliance dev.
Check out Twitter/X. Any time they get a new dev, it goes like this:
I have literally never seen ONE WoW dev take sides for the Alliance. In fact, one of them went so far last week to post a picture of some wax museum that had a Warcraft movie set, detailing the Alliance side, throneroom, etc. In other posts that feature the Horde, Loktar comes out pretty fast, but all she could say was For Azeroth!
She was literally looking at a picture of ONLY ALLIANCE and couldn’t even say For the Alliance.
It’s pretty sad these days.
could be worse. could be a never ending wsg
Aggrend is the lead developer of WoW: SoD. He plays exclusively Paladin. Paladin is the worst performing class in the entire game at all 3 metrics it is able to play. To say that SoD is developed around “dev bias” is simply uninformed and trolling.
Is a quintessential Blizzard quote. It’s the denoted “battle cry” of the Warcraft universe - before World of Warcraft even existed. The opposite is a night-elf battle cry that’s in a made up fantasy language. “For The Alliance!” wasn’t a battle-call initially - it came out in Warcraft 2. For the Horde! existed as a proclamation in the entirety of the WoW universe.
Unironically, Ion played Alliance until Shadowlands.
You are drinking way, way, way too deep of the “faction division” koolaid. Most people play both factions. “Faction Allegiance” is a fairly fail-safe way to locate and isolate people who’s opinions should be instantly discarded.
Why is ONE faction’s battle cry the quintessential one? And you’re wrong; “For the Alliance” outdates “For the Horde”. We first hear it in Warcraft 2. The Elven Archers and Rangers are first saying “For the Alliance ” as one of their acknowledgment quotes. “FOR THE HORDE! ” didn’t come out until Thrall started saying it in Warcraft 3.
Ion has never played Alliance since he started in Wrath. He first stated this during one of his little videos with the curly haired guy when they were talking about launching BfA.
You think it’s Koolaid, show me ONE PLACE on Twitter/X where a WoW Dev has been pro-Alliance.
I’ll wait.
