Sick of watchin ads just to lo into WoW

Someone please explain to me how to stop the ads when opening bnet to play wow.

EVERY

SINGLE

TIME

I LOG INTO WOW… i’m forced to watch an ads for one of those other games i HATE!!.. No option, just forced into my face. Have to manually close it with my own fingers. Why cant i just play WoW when i click the WoW game icon to play WoW? All blizzard is doing with these ads is making me so angry because i will never EVER play CoD or D4 or Retail. I HATE THOSE GAMES MORE THAN ANY OTHER GAMES IN MY LIFE. I actively avoid them at all costs literally.

Please, is there a way i can play Classic without having to see an ad? Anyone help me please? I did not get 2 masters degrees just to watch ads…

This is a thing? I have never seen this. But i do have adblock.

I think Ive seen a popup that you can X out of, but never an unskippable video

Just launch WoW from its installation launcher and skip using BattleNet.

How does having masters degrees translate to not seeing ads you don’t want to see?

This is the big brain two masters degrees answer.

To expand on this a bit, you should be able to create a short cut to it that you can access from start menu, desktop, or wherever so you don’t have to constantly navigate to the wow exe folder.

I have never had to watch an ad to play WoW, but then again I keep the Battle.net launcher open

My mom did always tell me I was smart and handsome.

Local Disk > Program Files > World of Warcraft > World of Warcraft Launcher

or

Local Disk > Program Files > World of Warcraft > _Classic_Era_ > Wow Classic

The only trouble with doing this, is that you will have to systematically login to the Bnet app in order to update the game and realm version. otherwise you’ll get an “incompatible realm” error message

Right click on either of the above launchers/.exe and send to your desktop as quick launch icons.

2 masters? Dude, please stop playing wow and go out and fix society. We plebs depend on you to be functional.

I think OP is talking about the pop up ad that covers the launcher. I think it’s the new call of duty atm? Yeah you just have to click it away, but then there are also more “updates” for OW2 and such.

It’s a bit annoying, and the process does feel pushy and markety when you have no interest in any of the other actiblizz games.

Momma said I was so bright, she calls me the ‘sun’

20 points to anyone who knows that (approximate) lyric.

It’s probably not but the “momma said…” makes me think of Waterboy.

Is this something you only notice when you relaunch bnet? I haven’t been forced to watch any ads I just click whatever version of wow i want to launch and play

Nah, not that. Fantastic movie though. I’ll award 10 points.

Momma said forced ads are the devil.

That’s what I’m thinking. an easy solution is to just keep battle.net open and minimize it. Would only have to close the ads after bnet updates or until you restart your computer.

No colonel sanders, you’re wrong. Mama’s right!

Does a MAN have deputy dog sheets? Those are his sheets right there!

i think they listened to me, because i finally didnt get an Ad in my face this time after todays patch. good thing someone there is listening to the right players.

You can put a shortcut to the game itself on the desktop, and then log in using the WoW login screen, never even touching battlenet. Authenticator will work from wow login screen.
