why is this another 4 hour shutdown ffs?
not like a new xpac is coming in three weeks and a new prepatch is coming in one or anything

usually when games are implementing big changes they have to close down BOTH in order to do things correctly. doesn’t matter if classic is classic or retail is retail
You’re both using retail characters, so it gets confusing for some people.
If i had to take a guess. since they are patching for shadowlands, they are also patching for Naxx. Hence why they want to only have the servers down on one day to get it all done. They probably have it all wrapped up in one neat little package to deploy.

Im glad. Hopefully it goes over and extra 3 hours so when i get home from work I’ll be able to jump in and farm all those fresh herbs.

I just wanna know why we went from 1 hour, or less maintenance days for a year, to 4+ hour maintenance days all the sudden.

It’s odd to me that I’m getting an error saying there are no servers but I checked the status website and mine is up…
Since naxx is coming december 3rd we might be getting the scourge invasion
Considering this is the 2nd week of 4+ hour maintenance, and there weren’t any patches or anything last week, I don’t think this is it. Also, Naxx patch will be announced, just like every patch always is. it won’t be some ninja patch no one is expecting.
This. I’ve never really understood why the realm status page doesn’t often reflect the actual realm status. Make me wonder what it’s really meant for.

idk, i think its dumb af that all servers get shutdown over retails BS. some of us dont even play retail because its so damn simplified.
This is what I don’t get, either. And the notices in the Blizzard launcher don’t explain what kind of maintenance is going on that justifies shutting down BOTH retail and Classic.
