Shut the GDKP'rs up - Add Raid Bosses and World Bosses Reward Bag Drops

Hi There,

I hate GDKP, I hate boost sellers, I hate all forms of pay for progression imaginable and I really want the people asking for these things to be quiet. So please take away their most resonating arguments.

  1. People have no incentive to raid once they have all their gear.

FiX -
Large Raiders Reward Bag- Contains 50 gold and 5 Reals. Drops for each person in the raid who tagged the kill on a world or final boss.

Small Raider Reward- Contains 10g and 1 Real - For each non-final raid boss.

Now you can make gold while raiding without needing GDKP, this is more than enough gold each week to afford your consumes, and the reals keep players who don’t care about gold involved as well.

Why does everyone just assume people prefer gdkps for the gold?

You do realize the gdkp discords are filled with much better players right?

For example there’s a few threads about how impossible it is to pug Onyxia, yet if there was gdkps the gdkp discords would have literally 0 issue putting together successful pugs to do the content.

It’s just a much higher quality pug.

Too much hate in one post.

Just comes down to the fact that they don’t know what they are talking about. A common theme.

all this does is cause inflation… GDKP didn’t do that. GDKP was just trading existing gold around. in fact, it probably helped cause DEFLATION because so many people hoarded gold in anticipation of buying a super epic for 100,000g. honestly, anti-GDKPers have no idea what they’re yacking about :expressionless:

Increasing the supply of money increases the cost of goods

Increasing the supply of goods is the only way to decrease the cost of goods

SoD has done #2 very well. Giving everyone more gold doesn’t solve problems, just creates them.

Sod did it well?

If anything sod is against farming since double crafting is way better now.

You mean the bots are keeping the supply up.

Gold’s useless

I want gdkp’s because its a good/fun way to gear characters and reward players.

Did those players just evaporate because you can’t GDKP anymore

It really seems like you should just be able to form normal pugs in GDKP discords?

Or did they quit? Wonder why.

They raid 1 toon in there guild runs that full clear fast and clean then raid log and play other games.

They have no incentives to raid further because gdkp ban and no incentives to play multiple alts which is why the pug scene is dead and full of bottom of the barrel players who have 1 wipe on onyxia and disband and can’t clear heat level 1.

No they didn’t make alts.

They either quit or only main raid.

You do realize hardly anyone main raids in gdkps right?

It’s usually all alts.

Oh so you’re saying the incentive was to make gold, got it

I was just curious. You must have meant something else when you said:

Why does everyone just assume people prefer gdkps for the gold?

The incentive is being rewarded for your time and having the ability to buy the gear you want when you want it.

The incentive to play multiple alts is because the raids are organized and have good players the more alts you play the more gold you get the more gear your able to purchase so it rewards people the more they participate in the content.

Now though there is no incentive to raid multiple characters i won’t step foot in a pug group because they are unorganized and messy and nobody is penalized for playing terrible.

The new meta now is a random player “organizing” a pug and hard reserving the item they want then painfully brute forcing through it until they get it essentially using the other 19 people for a guaranteed item.

This.

I for one am extremely happy for 25g flasks. 20 silver Elixir of the Mongoose, and stacks of food for under 5g. All while making gold by doing Profession CD’s.

All of which had nothing to do with gdkp ban and more to do with changing fundemental game mechanics and excess supply of materials via various means something you completely negate.

No the incentive is to make an alt you enjoy playing but your guild only does 1 run and instead of joining trash players like you in trade chat pugs you instead join gdkps where they vet everyone on the discord.

Pretty easy to understand

Girl, just say the incentive is to make gold. It’s hilarious that anyone is even saying it’s not. Like, if it were any other incentive you wouldn’t have a problem joining any other kind of PUG. The assertion that only good players did GDKPs is absurd on its face (and any perceived quality of improved play is likely due to a selection bias of players willing to seek out a discord to play with other people being more dedicated players) but even if we assume that GDKP folks were just chad pumper leet gamerz, GDKP would still offer an incentive over other similar low-friction systems like soft reserve (which is super manageable in 10 or 20 man raids btw, my guild does it and it takes seconds). That incentive is the gold because otherwise there’s not a meaningful difference.

the incentive is to play a superior method of organizing raids :expressionless: you can oversimplify that to “you just want gold” but that’s reductionist and inaccurate (and I think you know that).

Oh, so now Argentia understands nuance.
