It was originally an AoE rune for rogues doing 25% weapon damage per mob. It was awful, almost not worth taking for how little damage it did. And then it got nerfed to 15% weapon damage. Can I ask what is going through the devs’ minds when they make these changes? Have they tested this stuff themselves?
It is a nice filler to keep aggro on additional monsters but you still need to single target, Rogue stuff is supplemental it isn’t the rune does everything for you.
I get that. But my guildie says his Shuriken only does 40 damage, which is less than bear’s swipe, which is already bad and doesn’t scale with AP. I’d think a rune could stand to be better, especially with how slow mobs in Gnomeregan were dying (in my experience).
Yeaaah but it benefits from the bonus threat from just a flesh wound, it is purely for threat.
I suggest speccing into blade flurry for cleave to increase damage output.
It should apply poisons to all targets and slow them.
That would make it good, yeah.
Shuriken cost too much energy for what it is currently. But let’s say there are other options to fix it. It’s really a let down. It had so much potential.
Filler? For 60 Energy and barely a Thorns proc worth of damage?
My post from another thread on how to fix this ability
yeah if you have no combo points built, and multiple targets, it adds a combo point and bonus threat to everyone inbetween ripostes (which cost 10 energy)
Ehhhh not sure that counts as a “filler”
lower energy cost, bump up threat, and let it apply MH/OH poisons.
When did it become 60 energy? Wowhead still shows it only being 30
I think they were saying that 2 cast which is 60 energy give you barely above thorns dmg.
If you have the Seal Fate Talent, it gives you up to 100% chance to get an extra combo point when you crit with a combo point skill.
When you crit anything you aren’t targeting with Shuriken, you lose all your current combo points.
HAHAHAH
This game…
Redirect is a fail as well. It’s on the GCD so you use it and then have to auto attack to rest of the time.
I tried having faith in this dev team, but honestly they are just not great at their jobs. They clearly test nothing because even basic math in your head could see how alot of these issues would turn up.
