I cant even contribute to the event…
A quick solution while the developers don’t solve the boss problem is to put the gems up for sale at the NPC without the need to drop them.

I turned off ALL my addons and it worked.
Addons off.
Log out.
Log in.
Kill it.
Still bugged. It’s basically a crap shoot whether or not it finishes successfully or not.
Also still getting randomly ported out of the cave as well.
Been trying for a good few days not to get this to work right and it just will not.
I’ve “killed” this event about 20 times (maybe more) now - Got stormbringer…cannot for the life of me now get fathomdweller. It ports you out of the cave more than 75% of the time. And every single kill somehow doesn’t count.
EDIT : Just did it again. Tank took it into the hallway, i noticed that I was still 0/1 on the bonus objective (vs not having the bonus objective show up at all like the last god knows how many attempts). My husband and I stood inside the cave while the melee fought it at the opening of the cave. Got Fathomdweller finally.
I understand that there are holidays this week, but the fact that this is still an RNG mess as to if you even get credit for doing the content is embarrassing.
Just for the record… over 20 attempts. No citrine drop. 5 of those were after the Tuesday downtime.
In that time period, my pally did get the drop but it was one of those pulls to the corner (right side after entry). I don’t know it was just luck or what.
But, I agree. Blizzard originally said “keep doing it and it will drop.” Obviously not.
Addendum: Sent in pet at beginning. No drop.
