So I’ve been trying assassination on a new rogue, still pretty new to the spec so I went the safe route with my talents and followed the Starter build (lol, I know…). At lvl 69, the build suggests Shrouded Suffocation, +20% damage to Garrote, and its supposed to generate an extra 2 combo points if used from Stealth… but it doesn’t work and I just get the usual 1 point…
Is this a known bug, or am I missing something?
it works for the rest of us
u sure you’re not doing smth dubious?
Unless there’s an add-on thats screwing with combo points, no, I’m not doing anything special.
give us the talent build you’re running
export it here
also, just pressing garrote from stealth yeah, no macros or stuff?
Starter build:
BMQAcWb37Z8KXj8LlE1rTPXfsFikkkElEAAAAAASB0kAAAAAAAtWkExBiIJpEJRSEJRSESRJJBA
No macros.
something might be breaking stealth early
try changing a few talents in the class tree and take Subterfuge, then Garrote again, how many CPs?
Tried with another talent build, the single target one from Icy Veins, Strangely, I now get the 3 combnos points : * BMQAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAEJJhkEEAAAAAASJJSJJAAAAAAgWSCSgkkSaJREEJJJRSTLSAA
So something in the Starter Build is screwing with Shrouded Suffocation.
yeah perhaps
try to make your talent setups yourself instead of importing, though it shouldn’t be, it may be another failure point
I’m having the same problem.
After some testing it appears that the talent Shrouded Suffocation ONLY works if you have also talented Improved Garrote.
Blizzard must have messed up the code and there is an unintended dependency.
As of 05/19/24, this bug still hasn’t been fixed. Shrouded Suffocation does not provide 3 CP without taking Improved Garrote.
