As a DPS is seeing Consecrate essential? Is seeing Ice Lance, or Some mage spell essential? Warlock effects, Warlock pets…etc. Is all of that essential? All it does is destroy my frame rate.
Can I literally have only essential spells show, like healer circles, defensives?
I don’t need to see a single damage spell/ability from another player. For the love of god.

I’ve been thinking the same thing for. While now. I can’t see Jack sht during a fight but the blue square on the tank.
That’s probably why there’s an option for this.
This was my solution to feeling like my graphics card was straight up vomiting in my eyes.
I brought partical density down to the second lowest setting. Spell effects I brought to the second lowest setting. lowest setting and you literally don’t see some of your own spells. I suppose that would be a cool way to look like you’re just doing yoga.
there is no option. I have only essential selected and it’s not very good at that.
I have shadows turned as low as I can, I have particle effects as low as I can. I have to keep projected textures on because sometimes certain spells from NPC’s won’t appear without it checked.
I have texture set as low as it can go, I’ve done all of what any of you can suggest, the game shouldn’t be eating up my cpu with it set that low, but it does.
Spell density and particle density?

Maybe you’re just desensitised to it. Set it back to Everything for a while, then change it back.

this is kind of my issue with unholy, except its my own damned pets lmao
Isn’t there a setting that tells the game to only show one’s own spell effects? I always turn that on to keep my eyes from frying on boss or rare fights.
no, you are all wrong if you think you can. There’s 0 options. I think most should go look again. I have combed over that thing it’s all set as low as it can go in raids and it is still horrendous.
What kind of CPU/GPU do you have?
Clearly, Rogue spells and abilities effects must be seen and recognized by every player… If we had any.
…
I’m sad now.

I know my bottleneck is my cpu, it’s 11 years old a first gen AMD 8 core, but it shouldn’t be THAT bad at minimal settings.
Given how wow tends to get bound up on a single thread, the fact that you’re on bulldozer is really not helping.
Edit: bulldozer is technically below the minimum system requirements to run the game now, oldest supported AMD CPU is Zen 1 from 2017.
