I just commissioned art of my original WOTLK dranei holy priest and my current BELF DH, and I’m super excited about the finished result. Anyone have gorgeous artwork they’ve commissioned of their toons that you just adore?

I’ve sketched a couple of my characters in the past. I should scan those into my computer at home sometime.

I have a couple toons I’d love to seen done.

I’ve seen artists I like that are never available.

I’ve seen artist that are “meh” but charge WAY too much for their work.

Some day I’ll find a good artist that works for a reasonable price and is actually AVAILABLE.

I’ve drawn people’s characters before. For convention tags and just for fun. I’ve also had some of my own characters drawn by other people. I really like collecting art from my gaming hobbies.

I should draw more, but this patch eats up ALL my free time. So much grinding.

A huge part of my industry ( tattooing ) makes their bread and butter off of corporations IPs.
It’s a good thing that copyright in these cases is virtually impossible to enforce, otherwise I’d owe a lot of companies a lot of money lol.

Plus, any of the artists who are any good usually have a huge backlog.

Wish I’d saved that MS Paint drawing I made of my NE Hunter and her Pet Boar Tuskypoo, back in Vanilla. It was pretty funny/cute.

That’s where I’m at. A few Friends have gotten Gaming characters images done and paid almost $200 bucks. They were done by insanely great artist, but Me? That’s my electric bill for the month.

I can’t see me spending that kind of cash on a drawing.

It is definitely a luxury. If you have any skill at art, sometimes a trade is the way to go if you like collecting or want a piece by a specific artist.

Mine’s too spicy for GD. But it was of my pandaren monk having a bath in the hot springs with the Xuen spirit guardian relaxing nearby.
